?? Inspired by the #Paris2024 #Olympic Games, we ran a #CFD #simulation of one of the oldest Olympic events - the javelin throw. We wanted to understand the flow wake and pinpoint areas of high drag. We used Lumi Mesh Adaptation to automate the mesh iteration process to generate the optimal mesh and solve the solution in a single simulation quickly and accurately. We recently released the Interactive Geometry Modification feature on the Luminary Cloud Platform. This is our continued effort to accelerate CFD workflow end-to-end. Why is this important? Your CAD geometry != CFD-ready geometry. With the Interactive Geometry feature, you can now easily further modify your CAD to make it CFD-ready.? At 2024 ASCEND, I had the pleasure of speaking with Juan Alonso. Juan is the Chair of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University as well as the CTO and Co-Founder of Luminary Cloud, a company which launched out of stealth in March 2024. Luminary Cloud is "the world’s first modern computer-aided engineering SaaS platform that provides engineers insights in minutes, allowing for quick simulation, analysis, and iterations that were once impossible."
