How to Book a Drone Show Like a Pro When planning a drone show for your event, clear and specific communication with your drone show provider is crucial for achieving a successful and memorable spectacle. Here are four key points to consider when communicating with Lumasky Drone Show: 1. Location of the show The first thing you need to tell us is the city and venue where you want to hold your drone show. This is important because the use of drones may be restricted in some cities and venues. Also, we need a suitable location where we can fly drones without any obstacles like trees, tall buildings, people, or cars. Additionally, we need to know the location as early as possible so our logistics team can calculate the cost of delivering drones, air travel, and team accommodation. 2. Date of the show We need to know the date on which you want to schedule the drone show. On average, it takes about a month to prepare for a show. If a client requests a show on short notice, we will explain if it’s feasible and offer alternative solutions. Sometimes, we can prepare a show faster, for example, in one or two weeks, but this needs to be discussed with the customer. 3. Concept of the show Provide us with an understanding of the drone show’s purpose and what it will commemorate or celebrate so that we can develop the entire concept, from the story that the show will tell to the specific formations that will be created. HOW DRONE LIGHT PAINTING WORKS For an exclusive art lovers’ meeting, Lumasky Drone Show team decided to push the boundaries of standard drone shows. We launched what looked like a typical drone show at first. With the only difference ー the drones moved in chaos and didn’t show any image. In the meantime, the camera filmed their choreography with a long exposure, and projected it onto a huge, hologauze screen, almost invisible in the darkness! And then, wow, Van Gogh’s iconic artwork emerged in the night desert air. To craft a recognizable display, we used detailed algorithms that meticulously mimicked the artist’s brushstrokes with 1,000 drones. Accompanied by violin, they produced an unmatched aesthetic, sparking discussions on the groundbreaking technology even more than on Van Gogh’s legacy. 1,500 Drone Light Show Hypnotized Visitors of GCAT in Doha The hosts of the Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) in Doha, Qatar, intended to amaze the festival visitors with some extraordinary experience. Lumasky stepped forward to elevate the event’s closing ceremony. A Show of Precision and Passion With just over 2 weeks to prepare, our team took on this exciting challenge. We aimed to create a drone light show that would dazzle the festival guests. Our goal was to seamlessly integrate the 1,500 drone display with the event’s music and pyrotechnics. As a result, a flawless synchronization of light, sound, and fire left the crowd speechless for 12 minutes straight. The creative idea reflected the rich culture and traditions of Doha, featuring custom animations of Arabian horses, GCAT branding, and cultural elements. Precision timing was key, as the drones had to dance in perfect harmony with the fireworks — all while adhering to strict safety measures compliant with local and international aviation regulations. Flying Through Challenges Strong winds, with gusts up to 10 m/s, tested our drones, which had to work harder to resist the gusts, consuming more battery. We also lowered the flight zone from 50 to 30 meters. A thoroughly calculated move that paid off by bringing the show closer to the audience and creating a more immersive experience.
