SciArt SwitzerlAnd: when science and art meet without boundaries. It is from this interdisciplinary dialogue that the project promoted by IBSA Foundation for scientific research in collaboration with LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura and MASI Lugano - Museo d'arte della Svizzera italiana was born. Was 2022 mit einer Idee des Musikethnologen Johannes Rühl begann, wurde am 16. Februar 2025 abgeschlossen: Im Rahmen des grossartigen Projekts ?Zukunftsmusik - échos du futur - Utopie sonore - Future Sounds“ wurden zwei Boxen mit 40 Werken von Komponisten/innen wie Camilla Sparksss, Martina Berther, Francesco Giudici, Patrick Kessler oder Patrick Frank im LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura versiegelt und an Günther Giovannoni, Direktor der Schweizer Nationalphonothek Fonoteca Nazionale Svizzera, fn, zur Aufbewahrung bis 2123 übergeben. Die Werke werden in 100 Jahren uraufgeführt. Johannes Rühls Inspiration für dieses Projekt war das 100-j?hrige Jubil?um der SUISA im Jahr 2023. Ein grosses Dankesch?n an Johannes für dieses Projekt, das auch in 100 Jahren noch nachhallen wird, an alle Komponisten/innen für ihre kreative Arbeit und an die Schweizerische Nationalphonothek, die diesem musikalischen Erbe für das kommende Jahrhundert ein Zuhause gibt! ???????? Ce qui a commencé en 2022 avec une idée de l'ethnomusicologue Johannes Rühl s'est achevé le 16 février 2025 : Dans le cadre du magnifique projet ? Zukunftsmusik - échos du futur - Utopie sonore - Future Sounds ?, deux bo?tes contenant 40 ?uvres de compositeurs/trices tels que Camilla Sparksss, Martina Berther, Francesco Giudici, Patrick Kessler ou Patrick Frank ont été scellées au LAC à Lugano et remises à Günther Giovannoni, directeur de la Phonothèque nationale suisse, pour être conservées jusqu'en 2123. Les ?uvres seront jouées pour la première fois dans 100 ans. L'inspiration de Johannes Rühl pour ce projet a été le centenaire de la SUISA en 2023. Un grand merci à Johannes pour ce projet qui résonnera encore dans 100 ans, à tous les compositeurs/trices pour leur travail créatif et à la Phonothèque nationale suisse qui offre un foyer à ce patrimoine musical pour le siècle à venir ! ???????? Ciò che è iniziato nel 2022 con un'idea dell'etnomusicologo Johannes Rühl è stato completato il 16 febbraio 2025: Nell'ambito del grande progetto “Zukunftsmusik - échos du futur - Utopie sonore - Future Sounds”, due scatole contenenti 40 opere di compositori e compositrici come Camilla Sparksss, Martina Berther, Francesco Giudici, Patrick Kessler e Patrick Frank sono state sigillate nel LAC di Lugano e consegnate a Günther Giovannoni, direttore della Fonoteca Nazionale Svizzera, per essere custodite fino al 2123. Le opere saranno eseguite in prima assoluta tra 100 anni. L’ispirazione per Johannes Rühl per questo progetto è stato il centenario della SUISA nel 2023. On Saturday, during the event organized by IBSA Foundation for scientific research and LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura as part of the SciArt SwitzerlAnd project, the audience had the opportunity to attend the talk "Plant beings in the perspective of global sustainability" by Stefano Mancuso. The botanist and professor at the University of Florence took the audience on a journey through the key aspects of climate change, highlighting the crucial role of plants in our future and offering new perspectives on global sustainability. Mancuso also emphasized the importance of scientific research as humanity’s only tool for seeking the truth. A huge thank you to the 700 people who joined us! Stefano Mancuso - A new SciArt SwitzerlAnd event is back! It is not a common occasion to meet someone who can claim to work in the field of scientific revolutions on a daily basis, but this is the case with Stefano Mancuso, a botanist and lecturer at the University of Florence, who has long been engaged in the exploration of what is called ‘plant intelligence’, directing the International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology. Mancuso will give a lecture on Saturday 08.02, at 11:00 a.m. in the LAC Hall, entitled ‘Plant beings in the perspective of global sustainability’ in which he will explore the communication networks between plant beings, highlighting their crucial role for a sustainable vision of the future.
