Spraying for change ?? ?? ??! After an initial three years of successful Cyclean engine wash services, we are happy to announce that Boeing has now extended our support contract for the worldwide C-17 Globemaster III fleet until the end of 2027. Every year, we perform around 2,000 of such engine washes on the airlifter’s Pratt & Whitney PW2000 powerplants (military designation: F117-PW-100). In regularly doing so, we make the more than 270 aircraft up to one percent more fuel efficient while also measurably improving their exhaust gas temperature (EGT) margin as well as their on-wing time. In the Cyclean service portfolio, the Globemaster III plays quite a special role as it also operates from unpaved runways, which significantly increases the number of dirt particles ingested and aggregated by the engines. This is effectively countered by additional Cyclean washes after every unpaved runway operation. Our engine wash services are carried out by approved service partners around the world that are coordinated by colleagues from our Engine Life Cycle Services department in Frankfurt, Germany. One of these partners is Certified Aviation Services that alone serves 17 United States Air Force locations in North America and also kindly provided these images in accordance with our valued customer. Many thanks, colleagues! The Boeing C-17 is a large military transport aircraft for tactical and strategic airlift missions, transporting troops and cargo throughout the world. Other roles include medical evacuation and airdrops. Operators covered by the contract with Boeing include the United States Air Force, NATO, the Kuwait Air Force, the Qatar Emiri Air Force, the United Arab Emirates Air Force, the Indian Air Force, the Royal Air Force (RAF), the Royal Australian Air Force and the Royal Canadian Air Force | Aviation royale canadienne. #keepyouflying #lufthansatechnikdefense

We once again generated record figures in the 2024 financial year and at the same time set a decisive course for the future: We are driving the business of the future forward with the construction of two new plants in Portugal and Canada, among other things. New contracts with a volume of almost eight billion euros also testify to the continued trust of more than 800 customers worldwide.? “These are figures we can be proud of, as they show we are providing the right answers to major challenges such as material bottlenecks, delivery delays and the global shortage of skilled workers with our range of products and services,” says our CEO Soeren Stark. “With a volume of well over 100 billion euros, our market also remains highly attractive. As the global demand for air travel and new aircraft continues unabated despite geopolitical uncertainties, we also expect significant growth in the coming years.” The goal of our “Ambition 2030” program is to increase revenue to over ten billion euros and Adjusted EBIT to more than one billion euros in 2030. We are also expanding into new fields such as the defense business and are also focusing on new products for commercial airlines beyond digitization. Our “Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem” consists of three solutions: AMOS of Swiss Aviation Software, flydocs, and AVIATAR. It already supplies a total of 11,000 aircraft worldwide. The year 2024 was our 30th business year as an independent company and marked the continuation of a success story that would be unthinkable without our many employees. As of the end of December, we counted exactly 24,499 colleagues worldwide. “We need employees who are among the best in their field. That's why we rely on our own training and targeted recruitment programs,” says Soeren Stark. “A special thanks goes to everyone who is already working for us - for their commitment and their willingness to constantly change our company. They are the ones who make our success possible in the first place.”? ? #LufthansaTechnik #keepyouflying??

Low in orbit, high in demand: Especially for #connectivity aboard VIP and government jets, #LEO (Low Earth Orbit) and multi-orbit (GEO/LEO) #Satcom systems are considered the industry’s driving force. Operating much closer to the usual flight levels of aircraft, LEO setups offer a higher bandwidth with greater data throughput as well as much faster response times. Hence, they can ideally replace or complement GEO (Geostationary Earth Orbit) setups. They also involve significantly smaller antenna installations thanks to electronic steering of the beam (ESA). Having recently embarked on our first LEO system installation for a narrowbody VIP aircraft and preparing a combined GEO/LEO system for an upcoming widebody VIP completion project, we are looking forward to transforming our vast experience with GEO setups now also into the field of LEO and multi-orbit capabilities.?Explore this growing world of our VIP connectivity options and stop by our booth H11 at #BAAFEX from March 4 to 6 in Singapore.? #LufthansaTechnik #MROexperts #keepyouflying

AVIATAR, our digital and manufacturer-independent data analysis platform, has taken another step forward in improving aircraft reliability. Our latest innovation, Technical Repetitives Examination, combines Artificial Intelligence with our extensive engineering expertise to enhance the analysis of technical logbook write-ups. With this solution already in use at 20+ airlines across various Airbus and Boeing fleets, we’re making recurring defects (so-called repetitives) more transparent and easier to track. By intelligently recognizing identical components — regardless of manual entry variations like “coffee machine” vs. “espresso maker” — our AI ensures accurate data assignment, leading to better defect monitoring and early detection of fleet-wide issues. ?? Key benefits: ? AI-driven categorization for structured logbook data ? Enhanced visibility into technical defects fleet-wide ? Early identification of cross-fleet issues ? Integration with leading MRO software like AMOS ? Future capability to automate troubleshooting recommendations Dr. Jan Philipp Graesch, our Product Lead for AVIATAR’s Reliability Suite, says: “This product is the result of extensive collaboration between our engineers and data scientists. The positive response from our customers and development partners strengthens our belief that we have created an AI-based solution that will significantly relieve airline maintenance control centers and engineering departments of a very time-consuming task, while at the same time enabling them to perform maintenance activities more efficiently. Thus, it fits perfectly into the existing product portfolio of our Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem.” #LufthansaTechnik #MROexperts #AVIATAR #keepyouflying
