We asked Liam what it means to be a veteran. “To me a Veteran is an individual who sacrificed their blood, sweat and tears for the country while asking nothing in return while serving in the Armed forces.” We also asked Liam what he would like others to know about being a veteran and serving the United States. "I feel every able bodied person should voluntarily serve in the military to gain an understanding of how our military operates, provide a service to the country, and to gain experiences that the vast majority of civilians will never have or understand." Continuing our Veterans Day series, we're honored to introduce David P.?We asked David what it means to him to be a veteran and to have served his country. “I come from a military family with veterans and retirees on both sides. It was no surprise that I enlisted. But unlike my father and both grandfathers, I had no ambition to make military service a career. It was an important stepping stone on my journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunities it presented me.” We also asked David what he would like others to know about being a veteran and serving the United States. “If you are able to contribute some portion of your time and energy to the betterment or defense of our society, you absolutely should. It doesn't have to be joining the military. Become affiliated with a non-profit or join a public volunteer program.
