As we head into Easter weekend—a time of renewal, hope, and resurrection—it’s especially meaningful to see the historic sanctuary of Kings Highway Christian Church restored and ready to welcome the community once again. Built in 1925, it has stood strong for a century, weathering many storms. However, it suffered significant damage when a lightning strike sparked a devastating fire. DRICON recently completed a full restoration, carefully preserving the historic structure for generations to come. Custom terracotta roof tiles were installed and blended seamlessly to match the original design. DRICON also meticulously replicated and replaced all of the mass timber, hand-hewn beams. Exposed roof decking was stained and hand-nailed to the exact specifications laid out a century ago. To complete the restoration, copper flashings, half-round gutters, and downspouts were fabricated and installed, honoring the church’s original craftsmanship. Beautiful Ludoshake project completed. Material supplied by Ludowici. Removed the Wood Shake roof as it was a fire hazard and customers insurance was going to be canceled. Installed this beautiful Ludowici Tile with a Class A Fire rating. Superb!!
