Lynnda Jo (Diberardin) Herrick September 6, 1958 - July 17, 2024 It is with great sadness we share that Lynnda Herrick, co-founder of Lucy Pet Foods passed away on July 17, 2024 at her home in Westlake Village, California. She is survived by her husband Joey, son Dylan and daughter Bailey. Joey and Lynnda were married for 42 years. Lynnda was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and when she was 23 she moved to Los Angeles, where she signed on with?The Judy Fontaine Agency. She went on to work on NBC’s Sale of the Century television game show for 5 years.? Lynnda had a love for helping animals; in their early years of marriage she and Joey would volunteer walking dogs at their local animal shelters. In 1989, along with her husband Joey and actor Dick Van Patten, she co-founded Natural Balance Pet Foods. For 30 years they supported countless animal causes with food and helped raise millions of dollars for various animal charities. In?2013?Joey and Lynnda?founded The Lucy Pet Foundation, a 501c3 animal charity dedicated to reducing the overpopulation of pets and unnecessary euthanasia in shelters and to promote finding 'forever homes' for rescues. Since its inception, the Lucy Pet Foundation has done over 30,000 free spay and neuters and 75,000 free vaccines, an amazing legacy for Lynnda’s commitment to animals. In 2017, Lucy Pet Products? was founded, and the Lucy Pet Foods? brand was born. Throughout her career building businesses alongside Joey, raising their two children was always her first priority. She was part of the pet food industry for over 30 years and was known for her passion for animals, warmth and creativity.
