The Luckyday Foundation was founded in 1978 by the late Frank R. Day. The Foundation provides funding for Luckyday Scholars Programs at three state universities: The University of Mississippi, The University of Southern Mississippi, and Mississippi State University. The Foundation assists students by providing scholarships to attend a university in their home state of Mississippi and obtain a college degree. Luckyday Scholars receive four years of scholarship funding as well as enrichment programming focused on developing community, participating in service, and engaging in leadership opportunities as they prepare for future careers.
