The Stanford Chariot Buddy Station is helping make tough moments in pediatric care a little brighter.
Positive Impact at Stanford Medicine Children's Health Specialty Services – Emeryville At Chariot, we are always excited and grateful to learn how our solutions are supporting health care professionals and enhancing patient care. Recently, we received fantastic feedback from Amber Borucki, MD at Stanford Medicine Children's Health Specialty Services – Emeryville after delivering a Chariot Buddy Station to their clinic. The Buddy Station includes a VR headset, a tablet featuring the Whack-A-Chicken game, and a treasure chest—tools designed to engage and comfort pediatric patients during medical visits. Dr. Borucki, a pediatric anesthesiologist and pediatric pain physician, shared her experience: "I have now used the iPad and VR headset with a couple of patients, including two trigger point injection procedures, with rave reviews! We also used it for a flu shot and for a patient with ADD/ADHD who had difficulty sitting through a long visit." It’s incredibly rewarding to know that our technology is making a difference in pain management, patient distraction, and overall care during what can often be stressful times for kids. As we enter flu, COVID, and RSV season, we're proud to be supporting health care providers with tools that help ease medical procedures for young patients. If you're interested in learning more about how our Buddy Station can support pain management or improve patient experiences, Dr. Borucki is happy to share insights! Thank you to Dr. Borucki and the team at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford for your collaboration and kind words! #ChariotBuddyStation #HealthcareInnovation #PediatricCare #FluSeason #PatientExperience #MedicalTechnology #ChildrensHealth #PainManagement #HealthTech #NeedlePhobia
