关于我们
Mental health care is a black box: conversational, subjective, stigmatized. So we help make sense of it - for patients, clinicians, and researchers.

We kicked off Startup:NYC Season 1 with a welcome dinner last night in the West Village! It was great to gather the cohort of founders and introduce them to each other, funders, and our partners. Each founder had a chance to talk about their company and their favorite health-related trends and products. It's clear why NYC is an emerging hub for health & wellness tech, where health tech companies raised $2.2 billion in the first half of 2024, about 35% greater than the same period last year. We’re thrilled to be selected to participate in Startup:NYC’s inaugural season for founders shaping the future of health and wellness tech! We're proud to continue growing our company alongside an impressive cohort of founders and immerse ourselves in Tech:NYC's community and resources!
Today, we’re thrilled to launch our inaugural Startup:NYC season, focused on health & wellness tech. Meet New York’s next superstar founders: BePresent CareComply, Candor Health, Celeste, Hiveclass, KELLS, Lucid.Care Labs, TheraMotive, and Walking Doctors. Startup:NYC is a community dedicated to supporting New York’s trailblazing emerging and underrepresented founders with tailored resources and closer ties to funding networks, all powered by a vanguard of NYC’s next leading investors. “One reason New York has emerged as a premier global tech hub in recent years is the collaboration and support within and across the industries,” said Julie Samuels, President and CEO of Tech:NYC. “This is especially true in health and wellness tech — the proximity to New York’s world-leading medical care and research institutions has created an environment where groundbreaking ideas and new solutions to age-old problems are iterated upon every day. Connecting underrepresented founders in this field to the support they need to thrive can help us foster a more equitable tech industry, and a more equitable healthcare system as well.” Backing this momentum is the invaluable support of our partners: EY, Google, Gunderson Dettmer, Innovatemap, Justworks, M13, Rho, Thoropass, and WeWork. ?? We’ve wrapped up an incredible 6-month mentorship with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) as a NIDA Challenge winner! ?? What did we learn? ?? Build a Target Product Profile (TPP). TPPs are often used by biopharma during research and development. Creating a software-based TPP helped us pinpoint our product must-haves, identify delighters, and quantify our value and vision. ?? Identify the decision-making unit. In healthcare, the end user isn’t always the buyer. Each stakeholder is incredibly complex, and it’s crucial to understand who holds the power. ??? Adopt the language of your audience. Grant writing requires a new language, unlike the ones used for customers and investors. It takes time to learn a new way of communication, but it’s worth it. ?? We’re deeply grateful to our mentors at NIDA for their invaluable early-stage startup guidance and their teachings around mental health and substance use. Onwards and upwards! ?? #MentalHealth #DigitalHealth #NIDA #Entrepreneurship
