Jessica Browning DipPFS had a family-filled weekend celebrating her sister’s graduation in Sheffield – congratulations to the grad! ?? ?? Kate Evans took a trip to the PFS National Conference 2024 – lots of learning and inspiration to bring back to the team. ?? ?? Despite the chill, Scott Ballard - DipPFS couldn’t resist a few games of Padel over the weekend. It’s safe to say this sport is becoming his obsession! Who else is hooked on Padel? ??♂? ?? Christmas is creeping in (too early, or just in time?) – Steven Rowe enjoyed the festive lights switch-on in Stratford, while Hannah K. and Amber Gerard soaked in the Christmas market magic. ? ?? Lisa Weatherstone treated herself to a delicious C?te de Boeuf this week – don’t worry, she had help tackling that feast! ?? ?? Lucent Talk Team Tuesday ?? This week, we’re starting with a huge shoutout to Kate & Lisa, who attended the Women in Finance Awards in London! Kate made the shortlist for Rising Star—and while she didn’t win, there’s no doubt her star is on the rise. ? The night was full of memories, reunions with old friends, and plenty of new connections. Kate even kept the celebrations going with a surprise birthday weekend in beautiful city Bath! ???? Meanwhile, Ellie reached a major milestone by passing her AF1 exam—congratulations, Ellie! To celebrate, she got all glammed up and attended a fabulous ball, looking every bit the belle of the ball. ?? Keep shining, Ellie! Our favourite furry teammate, Orla, enjoyed a muddy autumn adventure, digging in the leaves and embracing the season. ?? Let’s hope Keely had as much fun with Orla’s clean-up ! ?? Joe had a reason to cheer as his team, Wolverhampton Wanderers, brought home a rare win! ? Over the moon, he continued the weekend with friends in Portsmouth. There’s nothing like a victory to kickstart a great weekend—Get in, Joe! For the second week in a row, Luke headed to Twickenham to cheer on the rugby team—though, unfortunately, his luck wasn’t with them this time either. Perhaps third time’s the charm, Luke? ?? Luke and Lisa also attended the Remembrance Day parade in Shirley, honouring those who have served. To wrap up, Lisa got into the holiday spirit at Chatsworth House and Christmas Market. Yesterday’s event took us back through time, thanks to the wonderful Irene de Boo, who delivered a truly engaging and insightful account of the park’s origins. A special thank you to Mrs History for introducing us to Valerie — her deep knowledge made every detail come to life. Valerie shared the incredible story of how Louisa Ryland’s generous gift to Birmingham City Council transformed this space into the beautiful, communal park we all enjoy today. Who knew Cannon Hill Park held such rich history? Well, we do now — and we’re still buzzing with all we learned!
