We all know people who are ALICE—Asset, Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. The different types and ages of ALICE households may vary, but one thing they have in common is their day-to-day struggle to make it. The difficult choices these households face have long-term consequences for not only them but also our community. Please consider partnering with United Way as we support these individuals who struggle to buy the essentials for everyday life. Click here to learn more information: https://lnkd.in/gVM3iREy

ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) households and households in poverty are forced to make tough choices that have long-term consequences not only for their families but for everyone. Despite some ups and downs in rates of financial hardship, the trend is clear: The number of ALICE households in Texas has been steadily growing. This consistent trend represents a major vulnerability in our economic system. It also suggests that overall social and economic policies are failing to address the root causes of financial instability.
