This year for #IWD, we decided to do something different and take the theme of #AccelerateAction literally! We laced up our trainers on Sunday 9th March, and completed a 5K run in Victoria Park for the London Black Women's Project (LBWP), who provide essential support, advocacy, and safe spaces for Black and minoritised women facing domestic abuse and homelessness. We are fundraising all of March, so it’s not too late to get involved! The funds raised will go directly towards LBWP’s vital services - offering protection and empowerment to women who need it most. As part of the launch of our partnership with The LTL Collective, yesterday Swimsity hosted the first of our monthly non swimmer/beginner adult swimming lessons for members of the collective at our Central London location. The session was delivered by our lead swim instructor Tilly Hogarth, teaching the ladies some swimming fundamentals such as breath control, comfort in the water, kicking and push and glides. Thank you to Speedo for gifting everyone with goggles and towels. And thank you to everyone who stepped outside of their comfort zone and participated. (Self)Love was in the air at The LTL Collective’s Galentines Lunch! ?? Last week, we came together to celebrate the power of community and self-love. It was incredible to connect with both new and existing members - sharing laughter, conversation, and meaningful reflections. As we went around the table, each of us committed to something special we’ll do for ourselves this year as an act of self-care. A reminder that when we uplift ourselves, we uplift each other. Bingo Vision Board Event - Plan It, Achieve It! ?? Last week, we kicked off the year with an event that inspired reflection, and setting both meaningful and actionable goals for 2025. There were a number of key areas the ladies were able to choose from, including: spirituality, mental well-being, physical health, finances, career, family, and friendships.
