“No peace deal will be sustainable without justice at its core and Ukraine at the table” - a strong call from the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabija Grigaite Daugirde, Ph.D. at the discussion to mark three years of Ukraine’s resilience against Russia’s full-scale invasion. “Deals made by Putin on Putin’s terms will only benefit Putin” - a stark warning from the President of Institute for the Study of War (ISW) Dr. Kimberly Kagan. The Nordic-Baltic panel featuring Eivind Vad Petersson of Norway, Dag Hartelius of Sweden and Katarzyna Zysk of Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies emphasised the need for countries to step up their support for Ukraine. Exploring further opportunities to develop the Lithuanian Diaspora Funding Initiative! In this regard, the in-depth meeting with Dani Naveh, Global President and CEO of Israel Bonds, was invaluable. The success of Israel Bonds, which date back to 1951, provides ample space for planning the next steps in developing the initiative.? The idea, initiated by the President of the Republic of Lithuania, is aimed at inviting members of the Lithuanian diaspora in the United States and other countries to contribute to Lithuania's growth and become part of the country's economic success story.
