At LSF Medical Solutions, we are dedicated to building a highly sensitive remote lung monitoring device that provides real-time feedback to providers for patients with chronic lung disease, enabling them, their family, and their providers to make treatment decisions. Our mission is to reduce to use of urgent care, emergency room, and intensive care treatments as the primary method of getting well. We know that better, more frequent monitoring improves patient outcomes and reduces costs. We aim to leverage current technology to make that possible. All else aside, the biggest honor of my life was having my writings archived in the National Library of Congress. Even more than the National Library of Medicine. I wrote what I wrote at my most vulnerable. My husband asked my daughter today what “John Hancock” means. When I was the least confident, I wrote. But today, I took my daughter to New York and showed her history. You might not remember me, but me and the founding fathers are in the same place.

I love this paper but also wonder about these dose-response studies. Participants are almost always relatively young. Presumably, young exercisers keep up the habit in their later years, but what are the benefits of trying to coach an older person to start exercising for the first time? And, of course, I always wonder about the long-term epigenetic modifications that may make these modalities less effective as we age or if we've had early life events.
