The LSCU Young Professionals Group (YPG) is primarily made up of credit union professionals, 40 years of age and younger, in Alabama, Florida and Georgia working to positively impact the credit union movement. The goals of this program are improved industry awareness, increased knowledge and professional development, and a collaborative spirit among young credit union professionals.

LSCU YPG - Rethreaded Volunteer Event today was successful. We wanted to say thank you to all the volunteers at Community First Credit Union, VyStar Credit Union, First Florida Credit Union and Alive Credit Union. Rethreaded provides a second chance at life through employment for survivors of human trafficking in Jacksonville, Florida. Women have employment and career development opportunities in all facets of the company including production, inventory, sales, marketing and finance/administration. Our group will participate in a guided hands-on experience in deconstructing leather. This very leather is skillfully crafted by our survivors and finds its way into the heart of many of our products. We will also receive a tour of Rethreaded and training on human trafficking, offering valuable insights that will leave you better informed. We will be volunteering outside at their covered patio. Please dress comfortably and with the weather in mind!
