Building Connections at SLAS 2025 in San Diego! After a successful day at SLAS, we had the chance to connect with some amazing individuals from LRIG chapters across North America. Pictured here are Kalpesh Gupta (LROG-NE) Elizabeth Rodziewicz (LRIG-Canada), Mike Ouren (LRIG-Nevada hopeful!), and Jesse Mulcahy (LRIG-New England). We’re excited about the possibility of Mike partnering with other automation experts to form a new LRIG chapter in Nevada. This collaboration would extend LRIG’s mission to foster knowledge-sharing and innovation in lab automation and life sciences. Here’s to expanding our network and supporting the incredible work being done across the industry. Cheers to the future of automation and the amazing community that makes it possible! ?? #SLAS2025 #LabAutomation #LRIG #Networking #LifeSciences #Collaboration LRIG-NE: Laboratory Robotics Interest Group of New England LRIG Canada

So that’s a wrap! Another SLAS show over, another few hundred lab toys lusted over, another few hundred friends and colleagues (old and new), and another few thousand miles to get home. ?? Thanks to everyone who came, presented, renewed contacts, shared experience, hosted events, and just made the LabAutomation community what it is. Lots to do in the meantime, and I look forward to doing it all again next year in Boston. Bring a warm coat. ??

Kicking off SLAS (Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening) with Excitement and Innovation! Day 1 of #SLAS has come to an end, and it’s been an incredible start! A question I’ve heard from many today is: What’s caught my eye so far? Here’s a quick summary of the highlights that stood out to me: 1?? Dorna Robotics’ $10,000 6-axis robotic arm – Compact, affordable, and powered by Python! This could be a game-changer for accessible automation. 2?? Dynamic Devices new positive pressure head – Space-saving on the deck and incredibly practical for labs looking to optimize Filteration workflows on deck. 3?? Adherent cells in suspension using micro-chip technology – Semarion is truly pushing boundaries in cell culture. This innovation has massive potential for the future of cell research. 4?? The smallest and most affordable automated qPCR machine – BMS Group is redefining accessibility with this compact yet powerful solution. 5??Hamilton Company new FluidX pipette – Smaller, faster, and designed to accelerate pipetting like never before. 6?? Integration continues to lead the way in automation – Platforms from Tek-Matic Copia Scientific Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. Lab Sync and others are raising the bar for seamless lab integration. These are just a few highlights from my day, and I know there’s so much more to explore over the next two days. I’m looking forward to seeing more booths, connecting with the amazing #SLAS2025 community, and discovering what’s next in lab automation and technology! Let’s keep the energy going – what were your favorite highlights from Day 1? This version keeps the excitement high, makes it clear and engaging, and invites others to share their thoughts! What do you think? #slas2025
