This month, LP Nashville team members rolled up their sleeves for our final 2024 Habitat Build Day, partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville to create affordable housing. Alongside Habitat staff, the team had the chance to work hands-on with LP? SmartSide? products, seeing firsthand the impact they can make in our community. Today, we are honored to dedicate a mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home to U.S. Army Ranger Joshua Hargis. In his late teens, Joshua set out to rise above his circumstances and become the best version of himself through service in the U.S. Army, ultimately joining the elite 75th Ranger Regiment as a K9 Handler. During his last deployment in Afghanistan, Joshua sustained life-altering injuries, losing both legs while attempting to aid his fellow Rangers in a minefield. Despite the immense challenges, Joshua’s resilience and dedication to his family have remained unwavering. Now, he, his wife Taylor, and their children will have a home that allows Joshua to live independently, be more self-sufficient, and fully engage in the family life they’ve built together. This home is a testament to Joshua’s incredible courage, selflessness, and the enduring strength of his family, and it’s our privilege to support them as they begin this new chapter. Said Josh, " This is a huge part of my life and freedom that I will get back. And I'll be able to give back to my family because of you." Last month, LP celebrated Wellness Weeks, a two-week initiative focused on empowering our team with insights into physical, preventive, mental, intellectual, financial, and social wellness. Water Bottle Challenge—Team members earned game chips for every water bottle they finished, encouraging healthy hydration habits.? ? ?? Egg Drop Challenge—Racing up and down a nearby hill with eggs balanced on spoons, team members completed for game chips by keeping their eggs intact and crossing the finish line!? ? ?? Prizes—Throughout Wellness Weeks, game chips were traded in for prizes, rewarding healthy habits and friendly competition. ? ? It’s #AdoptionAwarenessMonth, and we’re proud to be recognized by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption for our adoption leave benefit!
