Today’s ULI Signature Event – Rising Risks, Rising Costs brought together a packed room of members for an important discussion on the future of property insurance and climate resilience. With rising insurance premiums and increasing climate risks reshaping the industry, our expert panel delivered key insights on market trends, resilience strategies, and risk management. We learned ISO construction code classes (1-6) and building material selection can have a large impact on insurability. Lindsay Brugger, AIA, CPHC, Mike Hess, and Michael Shadeed shared data-driven perspectives on climate hazards, financial impacts, and proactive solutions that are essential for real estate professionals navigating these challenges. Special thanks to Lowndes for hosting this impactful event and to all who attended. Stay engaged with ULI Central Florida for more opportunities to learn, connect, and lead in shaping the future of real estate. Curt Ostrodka, AICP, LEED AP Rebecca "Becky" Wilson Tyler Hicks Jason G.
