Sometimes you don’t get to choose how things go… this one one of those times. Should have been a in and out swap of transmitter but we found the primary was in horrid shape and had to have remediation performed. Nice work Aiden D. but I’m sure it was a cakewalk since Chris D. didn’t make you use a nasty old transmitter that required you to make up wire!

Aquamatic Limited in Action.
Amongst the more mundane tasks Lower 48 Instruments performs is sampler station maintenance, but without the periodic visits, the data becomes useless as nature just loves to mess around with collection systems! Aquamatic Limited equipment has proven to be very reliable in these applications.

Need flow monitoring? Want it on your desktop? We do that.
Remote monitoring of irrigation splits with In-Situ Environmental Doppler velocity sensors and Mace loggers. Unfortunately the Doppler sensors were mounted at 12 o’clock, so we have some repairs to make come fall after irrigation season is done, but we are getting some decent data at the moment. In celebration I treated myself to an experience you don’t see often these days… a full service soda fountain in a drug store. #irrigation #flow #monitoring #remotemonitoring #dopplerflowmeter

Aquamatic in Action.
This is the Aquamatic Limited sampler module we distribute Lower 48 Instruments Here used as a grab, timed and flow correlated sampler to suss out actual performance from a newly constructed saturated buffer. These modules are unique in that they are sized right, priced right and easily stand up to the rigors of field use.

More field inspections of deployed Vega transmitters.
Tons of fun reviewing some VEGA Americas, Inc. Level transmitters Brian added last week. Cy Overbeck great having you out to see what we do in the field, you and your team support us so well and it is greatly appreciated.. Also, I’m thinking of adding “bring your dog to work” benefit to Lower 48 Instruments seems like everyone is a fan when the furbabies come out to play, I mean… work.

Remote, real time defensible data, done.
Great opportunity to work alongside the team at Roux to bring some real time monitoring and alerting to an permitted outfall. Atypical application for the Seametrics EX series, but combined with the In-Situ Environmental and KELLER Pressure gives the client control and data so that permitted maximums can be managed as well as correlate discharges to localized rain events if so chosen. A true team effort with Alex Stegeman from Becker Engineered Systems helping to get those fittings just right.

Few tweaks to a series of solar powered, automated injection systems we designed. Client is pleased and gave us the green light to proceed with the next phase of the project, going to be an interesting summer at Lower 48 Instruments Also, my dog hates the rain as much as my techs do.

Another Lower 48 Instruments installation of In-Situ Environmental Doppler metering. This was one of the most challenging of my life. Discharge clearances of less than 2 diameters before a multi point header, pump in front of measuring point by less than 2 diameters and no budget to do the right thing. We left with drawdown test showing 8% variance over 5 runs at differing pump speeds, I smiled. They don’t call us for the easy ones.
