Deep gratitude to?Dr. Monique Couvson, Ed.D.?for her powerful keynote at The State of Our Girls! Her words truly reminded us of the transformative power of love: “Love is a powerful agent. It’s not just a cutesy word. That is a powerful agent of transformation. I would argue the most powerful agent of transformation, and if you love our girls, what does that then call you to do?” Dr. Couvson’s message challenges us all to act with love in ways that uplift and support the Black and Brown girls in our communities. ???? Thank you, Dr. Couvson, for inspiring us to lead with love!

We’re honored to welcome Shema Love as our closing speaker at this year’s Love Your Magic Conference! Known for her statement graphic apparel and timeless illustrations, Shema is a self-proclaimed “local healer and art dealer” who uses her multidisciplinary artistry to celebrate Black culture, identity, and storytelling. Shema will close out our conference with powerful reflections on art, identity, and wellness, reminding us that healing is both personal and collective. We can’t wait to experience her wisdom and energy!

As the visionary behind CultureCon and the Creative Collective NYC, Imani has built a powerful community that uplifts and amplifies Black and Brown creatives. At the Love Your Magic Conference, Imani will share more about her journey and inspire us to prioritize our wellness—not just as an act of self-care, but as a foundation for advocacy, leadership, and community.?

We’re still feeling the impact of our Where Do We Go From Here event. When envisioning this space, our Fellows knew one thing for sure—Marlene needed to be in the room. With deep gratitude, we honor Marlene Boyette for leading us in a practice of movement, breath, and self-reflection. In a world that demands so much of us, this was a radical reclaiming of rest, care, and community. This space was not just beautiful—it was necessary. We are deeply grateful for the presence of our girls—across all age levels—and their caregivers at our intergenerational gathering curated by our Fellows, Where Do We Go From Here. It was a powerful moment of coming together as a community to reflect, heal, and set transformative intentions for the road ahead. In these challenging times, our community will carry us forward.
