Friday was incredible at East Oakland Pride Elementary! Alongside the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), NBA Cares, the Golden State Warriors, and over 300 amazing volunteers, we completed our largest schoolyard build as part of the 2025 NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service.
This transformative day wouldn’t have been possible without the heart and dedication of our community. Together we revitalized the school’s gym, cafeteria, and library, plus planted over 1,300 trees and shrubs, created nature exploration areas and outdoor classrooms, installed two multi-sport courts, painted multiple interior and exterior murals and ground games, installed a Little Town Library, assembled book kits and so much more! This event showcased the power of collaboration and what’s possible when we come together to support Oakland’s students.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life!
