As we celebrate Engineers Week, we’re proud to highlight our ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals. One of the ways we do this is through our partnership with the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame and their STEMFems program, which introduces young girls to hands-on STEM activities and real-world role models. ? Through workshops like our recent Coastal Resilience challenge, we help students think critically about environmental sustainability and engineering solutions. From building resilient coastlines to designing wastewater treatment filters, these interactive experiences show students the diversity of STEM careers and encourage them to see themselves as future engineers, scientists, and innovators. ? Supporting STEM education goes beyond the classroom. Our team members regularly participate in career panels, mentoring programs, and community events with organizations like STEMFems, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, and BioCT. Yesterday, Senior Business Development Manager John T. Sullivan and Senior Vice President Ryan Polizzo had the opportunity to attend and exhibit at the Connecticut Council of Small Towns (COST) Town Meeting 2025, celebrating COST’s 50th anniversary! This annual event brought together state and local officials to discuss key issues affecting Connecticut’s small towns. With high-profile speakers including Governor Ned Lamont, Comptroller Sean Scanlon, DEEP Commissioner Katie Scharf Dykes, and other legislative leaders, the discussions provided valuable insights into the legislative priorities and programs shaping our communities. Congratulations to North Haven First Selectman Michael Freda on being named the new President of COST.
