关于我们
In 1994, a number of large companies came together to form a technology council for the New Orleans area. The founders felt that a strategy to build a technology component for the New Orleans economy was important and necessary in moving the region into the 21st Century. As a result, the Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) originally known as the New Orleans Technology Council (NOTC) was created as a private not for profit 501(c) organization. Several large major organizations along with the University of New Orleans and the City of New Orleans were its original founders. The original New Orleans Technology Council was launched with funds from the City of New Orleans ($100,000). However, since its second year of existence, the LTC has not received any annual outside funds from any federal, state or city organization. The LTC generates revenue from three sources: membership, sponsorship of events and the events themselves. In November 2012, Lindsey Hamlin joined the LTC as the Executive Director and began a new era by focusing on providing members with increased value, strengthening the relationship with universities, expanding K-12 STEM initiatives, reaching out to economic development sectors across the state, and increasing the value of sponsorship investments.
