Together with our customers, we are fueling real-world progress. We are excited to share we’ve entered into a definitive agreement with the New Generation Gas Gathering (NG3) project to transport and store up to 1.2 million metric tons a year (MTA) of CO2 from their facility in Louisiana. NG3 will gather and treat natural gas produced in east Texas and Louisiana for delivery to U.S. Gulf Coast markets, including for LNG export. This agreement represents a growing number of heavy industries advancing their lower emissions goals through our #carboncapture and storage technology. NG3 is our first natural gas customer. The NG3 project can rely on our existing robust CCS infrastructure including more than 1300 miles of CO2 pipelines across the US Gulf Coast, high-quality permanent storage space locations throughout the region and decades of experience executing subsurface projects safely and efficiently. We are on a mission to help the world’s largest emitters in hard-to-abate sectors advance the energy transition through #realwordprogress agreements. ?? Exciting News! ?? We are thrilled to collaborate with LSU College of Engineering and Halliburton to help position LSU as a national leader in energy research. ???? #Research #Sustainability #EnergyLeadership
Today, we're announcing that in early 2025, the LSU College of Engineering, in collaboration with Halliburton and ExxonMobil, will begin drilling a third research well at our PERTT Lab on LSU’s campus. This new, one-of-its-kind well will enable students, researchers, regulators, and industry to study CO2 in all three of its phases under realistic field conditions. The well will not be operational and will not inject any CO2 into the subsurface. The well will be solely used for research purposes and is expected to have significant research value.
