The LDOE has been working to reimagine our state educator evaluation system based on feedback from over 8,000 Louisiana educators. This transformation aims to address the concerns of the education community and to create a more responsive and effective process that truly benefits both educators and students. The current 2024-2025 school year marks the final “Learning Year” of this process, prior to full statewide implementation of the new evaluation system, LEADS, next year. To support educators through this transition, we’ve launched the LEADS Educator Newsletter - a monthly resource providing the latest tools, guidance and updates for teachers and leaders.
