关于我们
Lot21 is a new content platform to help the design community decarbonize the world. Our non-profit was formed to simplify and curate climate content for design professionals and students, making it easier to advance climate action across the built environment. Coming from this industry ourselves, we've built this resource to support a common cause. Design touches every person on the planet, and designers can play a pivotal role in guiding conversations about decarbonization when they have the resources they need to take a seat at the table. We’re here to inform, inspire, and ultimately empower more designers across disciplines. And we’re optimistic about what our lot can do to advance climate action, faster. Lot21 provides free access to its content on lot21.org and invites the community to subscribe to its free seasonal newsletter, the QUARTERLY, designed for those with limited time and who want to stay informed. The QUARTERLY amplifies the exemplary work of our peers advancing climate action around the world. Every quarter you’ll be able to quickly browse relevant and actionable stories in our portfolio from the categories listed below. Industrial Design is everywhere—from medical instruments to remarkable forms of transportation we use daily—each created with the human experience in mind. And, ID reaches all major markets, too— from consumer and commercial to industrial sectors worldwide. So let's raise a glass, give a hug, or just look around for a moment because ID has likely touched your life in some way.
?? Happy #NationalIndustrialDesignDay! ??Are you an industrial designer? Share your story today by using #NationalIndustrialDesignDay! Celebrated annually on March 5 and officially recognized in the U.S. Congressional Record in 2015 by U.S. Rep. Gerald E. Connolly, this year marks 10 years of National Industrial Design Day honoring the designers who shape the world around us. It declares that industrial designers “improve our lives in every way and are worthy of our recognition.” This year is especially meaningful as we also celebrate 60 years since the founding of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) on March 5, 1965! ?? Curious about #industrialdesign? Industrial designers develop products, devices, objects, and services used by millions of people every day. Everything from the tools in your kitchen to the chair you sit in has been thoughtfully designed to improve function, usability, and aesthetics. Learn more about the profession and its significance at https://lnkd.in/eTWQCJaR. ??
