I believe that everyone wants to be a better version of themselves. I am an author, speaker, trainer, and coach who challenges the idea that mediocrity and limiting beliefs are just a part of life and that success is only for a select few. On one hand, we are positive and grateful for the good things we have going on, the success we have created, and the positive relationships that we are already blessed with. On the other hand, we are equally driven by our desire to change, grow, improve, thrive, and ultimately… be fulfilled. And that means we have to be honest with ourselves. Brutally honest. When we do this we will very quickly uncover those areas of our life that need to change. But making a change isn’t enough if it doesn’t stick. What we want is to transform. G. H. Wade, a renowned professor at the University of Delaware, states that… “To create the most effective personal transformation, you need to cast off old habits and behaviors that no longer do the job and create new ones to create the person you're envisioning yourself to be. Personal transformation is more than a mindset. It's continuous action with a specific goal in mind.” By taking continuous, intentional action ANYONE can transform their life. PS. What do you do every day to transform some part of your life? PSS. The question is rhetorical (asked to produce an effect or to make a statement rather than to?elicit?information). #MindsetShift

Over the next 30 days, I’ll be posting the 10 Frustrations, 10 Fears, and 10 Desires of Leaders. Leader Frustration No.1 - Lack of Communication ? Improving communication in the workplace is vital for team success! ??? Many leaders struggle with a lack of communication within their teams. This leads to misunderstandings, loss of trust, and lost productivity. SOLUTION: By fostering open dialogue and regular check-ins, you can bridge these gaps and enhance collaboration. ???? Just a reminder, when you're communicating through text, email, or instant messaging, your message is received in the tone of the recipient. If they are angry, frustrated, or stressed, your message will sound like you're angry, frustrated, or stressed. Be mindful of your wording. ?P.S. What strategies have you found effective in improving workplace communication? Let's share ideas! ??

CALLING ALL LEADERS....
I help create high-performing, top-producing teams with mindset coaching & workshops that bridge cultural gaps and enhance performance.
Leaders....as you wrap up your day today.... When you check your results.... Downloading your metrics..... Reviewing your KPIs....... Calculating your EOD sales....... Focus on what your team did well...... Think about that tonight, and go in tomorrow and start your day focused on that. Acknowledge them for that, and recognize them for that. And most importantly, THANK them for that!!!!

Some leaders have had some questions about the challenge and I want to answer here. Q1. How long will each session last? A1. 15-30 minutes max. (I know we are all busy) Q2. Can I share this with a friend or colleague? A2. Absolutely! Anyone who wants to create a more cohesive, high-performing team is welcome to attend. Q3. How much does it cost? A3. FREE. I should have made that clear on my first post. I apologize. This challenge is built from over 30 years of experience. What I have been taught about selling, leading, setting goals, building teams, and taking people from where they are to where they want to be....it's in here. It doesn't matter what industry you are in. If you lead people, this is for you. A group of people that report to you is not a team. You have to build the team that you want. That starts with a few not so well known steps. Join us and take your team from where they are to where THEY want to be! DM me "I'M A LEADER" to get your seat today.

Using Self-Discipline to Overcome Obstacles ?? The other day, I commented on a post that said, “Yesterday you said TOMORROW”. I commented, “Today, I said today!” referring to a decision I made (action I took) to finally take a huge step in my life that I had been putting off for years. (There's always tomorrow, right?) I thought I’d share a few things that helped me finally decide to take on this challenge. Hey, life's going to be full of obstacles. But on the other side of every challenge, there is an opportunity for growth. Here's how I used self-discipline to get past that obstacle: ? I asked myself this question. "What am I willing to do to change my life?" I challenged my self-doubt with this question. I knew if I hadn’t taken action that day, as hard as it was, I would never create the reality I wanted. ?? I took the first step. "Beginning is half of every action." - Pythagoras I reminded myself that the first step is everything. When I realized that I was stuck in analysis paralysis, I forced myself to take action so I could move forward. ?? I became my hero. I imagined my Dad facing the same challenge. I thought of what he might say to me to help me. ?? Embrace Discipline Discipline is about acting in the face of uncertainty. It's choosing progress over procrastination. Take control of your response to life's challenges and transform adversity into opportunity. P.S.—What is that THING that you’re putting off until TOMORROW?

Stop Comparing Yourself With Others How much time do you spend longing for what others have? Are you constantly comparing yourself to others, especially on social media, and feeling envious? Break out of the comparison trap. Here are a few tips to help you stop playing the comparison game: ? Practice Gratitude: Recognize the blessings in your own life by practicing gratitude daily. Write down three things you're grateful for, revisit the list when you need a reminder of what’s good. ?? Celebrate Others: Genuinely celebrating of others can combat envy and discontentment. Cheer on your friends' successes while staying focused on pursuing your own dreams. ?? Compete with Yourself, No One Else: Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on you. Look back at where you started and appreciate how far you've come. ? Set Social Media Boundaries: Limit your time on social media to protect your mental well-being. Unfollow accounts that trigger comparison, set timers for use, and set tech-free times. ?? Take a Social Media Break: If limiting social media use isn't enough, take a temporary break. Disconnect from all social accounts and use the freed-up time to focus on yourself and your blessings. ?? Use Comparison as Motivation: Let comparison inspire positive changes in your life. When you see others achieving what you want, use it as proof that you can achieve your own goals. ?? Identify Your Triggers: Recognize the situations or people that trigger negative emotions. Learn to navigate these triggers by either responding to them differently or avoiding them altogether. ?? Acknowledge Your Current Position: Accept where you are in life without self-judgment. When you acknowledge your reality, you can focus on making changes to create the life you desire. ?? Focus on Your Strengths: Shift your focus from what others have to what makes you unique. List your strengths and qualities, and regularly remind yourself of them to reinforce your self-worth. ?? Take Action: ?? Start a gratitude journal and write down three things you're grateful for daily. ??? Purge your social media feeds and email subscriptions, keep only what inspires you. ?? Take 15 minutes to reflect on your strengths, write them down, and revisit the list daily to reinforce your self-esteem. Remember, your journey is unique, and comparing yourself to others will only distract you from your own path. Focus on embracing who you are and celebrating your individuality. #SelfLove #Gratitude #EmbraceYourJourney #MindsetShift

When you hear the word selfish, what comes to mind? Someone who only thinks of themselves and puts their needs ahead of others? What if I told you that being selfish isn't always a bad thing? Here are some instances where it's not only acceptable but necessary to prioritize yourself: ?? When You Need Sleep: Adequate rest is vital for peak performance. Don't sacrifice sleep for the sake of others; prioritize your well-being and recharge when needed. ?? When You Need Help: Asking for assistance isn't selfish; it's recognizing your limitations and seeking support to lighten your load when necessary. ?? Before You're Burnt Out: Pushing yourself to the brink of exhaustion serves no one. Take breaks, vacation days, and prioritize self-care to maintain your mental health. ? On Your Off Hours: Set boundaries between work and personal time. Disconnecting from work during off-hours lets you recharge and enjoy quality time with loved ones. ?? When You Feel You Need to Be Alone: Recognize when solitude is best for your well-being. Taking time for yourself allows for introspection, relaxation, and recentering. ?? When You're Sick: Rest and recovery are paramount when you're unwell. Don't give in to external pressures; prioritize your physical health and give yourself the time needed to heal. ?? To Get or Remain Healthy: Prioritize nutritious meals, exercise, and self-care practices to thrive and live fully. ?? When Dealing With Life Challenges: During difficult times, prioritize your emotional healing and well-being. Allow yourself space to grieve, seek support, and navigate challenges at your own pace. ?? When Relationships or Situations Are Toxic: Protect your peace by distancing yourself from toxic environments. Prioritize healthy relationships. ?? Action Steps: ?? Schedule regular downtime to rest and recharge. ?? Establish boundaries for work communication outside of office hours. ??♂? Don't hesitate to ask for help when needed; delegating tasks can relieve stress and free up time for self-care. Remember, prioritizing yourself isn't selfish—it's essential. #SelfCare #PrioritizeYourself #HealthyBoundaries #MindsetShift

Get More Peaceful Sleep: Tips to Wind Down Before Bed ?? A calm and relaxed mind before bedtime is vital for a restful sleep. Here are some tips to help you unwind and quiet your mind before hitting the hay: ? Meditate: Incorporate meditation into your bedtime routine to clear your mind, reduce stress, and enhance mindfulness. Embrace the present moment and let go of worries. ? Journal Your Thoughts: Release pent-up thoughts and emotions by journaling before bed. This practice provides an outlet for your mind and helps alleviate anxieties, promoting a peaceful state of mind. ? Create a Sleep-Conducive Environment: Set the stage for sleep by ensuring your bedroom is quiet, dark, and comfortable. Remove distractions and optimize your sleep space for relaxation. ? Try Soothing Sounds: Explore soothing sounds like soft music, ocean waves, or white noise to facilitate relaxation and ease into sleep. Find the sound that resonates best with you for optimal tranquility. ? Embrace a Weighted Blanket: Experience the calming sensation of being hugged or held with a weighted blanket. Establish a Bedtime Routine: Develop a consistent bedtime routine to signal to your body and mind that it's time to wind down. Engage in calming activities that promote relaxation and set the stage for restful sleep. ? Inhale for four counts, hold for seven and exhale for eight, slowing your heart rate and calming your mind. ? Progressive Muscle Relaxation: Release physical tension and promote relaxation by progressively tensing and then relaxing each muscle group in your body. This technique helps alleviate stress and prepares your body for sleep. Action Steps-- ?? Do a sleep audit to optimize your sleeping environment for comfort and tranquility. ?? Stick to a bedtime routine tailored to your needs, and establish calming activities to promote relaxation. ?? Keep your phone out of reach at bedtime to minimize distractions and promote uninterrupted rest. Prioritize winding down before bed to enhance sleep quality and wake up refreshed and rejuvenated.
