During this Week of Thanks, we want to express our gratitude for our donors and the many contributions they make to our residents, participants and employees. You help keep our resident's homes beautiful, you keep them warm and help provide for our employees too. The compassion you demonstrate is one of the reasons this world is a better place. #thanksful #thanksgiving #donorappreciation
关于我们
As the premier senior care agency in Central New York, we are proud to help our community get the most out of life. The Loretto family of care is an extensive network of agencies committed deeply to our patients. Since 1926, we've become the leading long-term healthcare provider to more than 6,000 individuals and their families, annually. Loretto is an employer of choice for more than 2,000 dedicated employees and compassionate caregivers. Loretto is committed to transforming elder care in Central New York by deinstitutionalizing nursing homes and long-term care services and replacing them with home-like settings featuring person-centered care. This new environment and care model promotes independence and choice, and fosters meaningful relationships between residents or program participants and caregivers. Throughout Loretto's 19 specialized care programs at 20 locations, you'll find we are passionate about our mission to honor, serve, and empower every elder and those who care for them to live with purpose, wholeness, and dignity.

Is it really Thanksgiving until our residents have baked pies with middle school students from Tully Central School District? We're grateful for all of the students who came out to Loretto today and helped our residents bake apple pies for Thanksgiving. Your act of kindness not only put a smile on their faces, but also filled their hearts with holiday cheer. Thank you for also lending your beautiful voices and singing some of their favorite holiday tunes. We'd also like to thank NewsChannel 9 WSYR for capturing this special moment on camera. #thanksgiving2024 #piebaking #thankful

We have another caregiver tip for you in honor of National Family Caregivers Month. Taking time to yourself is just as important as taking care of someone else, even if you have to make time. Plan for a weekly outing or a "day off" so you have consistent time for yourself. Reach out to a friend or a loved one to help take care of your loved one for a few hours while you take care of you. Most importantly, don't feel guilty for doing that one activity that makes you the happiest. You can find more self-care tips for caregivers in our blog "How to Practice Self-care as a Caregiver." https://bit.ly/4fClnSp #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth #SupportForCaregivers

A recent donation to the residents of Loretto brought laughter and excitement: a dazzling array of necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings, all sparkling and new. The donor did not want to be acknowledged, but what has to be acknowledged is the happiness their in-kind gift brings to our residents. Ann Marie Rossi proudly wore her new necklace, stating, "I like to share my jewelry and clothes here at Loretto. We are all equals here, plus I want to make the 4th Floor of Loretto, the best floor." For Christmas, Ann Marie plans to give a piece of jewelry to all residents on her floor. The jewelry brings a touch of magic to the resident's day; a reminder that even in their golden years, they can still feel beautiful and cherished. A small gesture of compassion will continue to bring joy and sparkle to their lives for years to come. You can bring joy to residents, too: https://bit.ly/3wBF1Hg
