We're grateful for all of the students who came out to Loretto today and helped our residents bake apple pies for Thanksgiving. Your act of kindness not only put a smile on their faces, but also filled their hearts with holiday cheer. We have another caregiver tip for you in honor of National Family Caregivers Month. Taking time to yourself is just as important as taking care of someone else, even if you have to make time. Plan for a weekly outing or a "day off" so you have consistent time for yourself. Reach out to a friend or a loved one to help take care of your loved one for a few hours while you take care of you. Most importantly, don't feel guilty for doing that one activity that makes you the happiest.
