???? Meet Amy Smith – An Enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer at Loram ??
?? What inspired your career path?
Growing up, I was always curious about Science, Math, Physics, Art, and Music. A high school field trip to an oil refinery in Montana sparked my passion for Chemical Engineering. Though I couldn't attend college right away, I never gave up on earning my degree. Years later, I graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from St. Cloud State University. I even considered working in the medical device industry! ??
?? How did you end up at Loram?
After hearing great things about Loram from friends in the industry, I applied for a Mechanical Engineer position in 2019. I joined the team as a Mechanical Engineer I in Production Engineering, excited to contribute to a company with such an enthusiastic and proud workforce. ??
?? Advice for newcomers?
Ask lots of questions and never assume you’re the only one who doesn’t know something. Everyone has a different level of understanding, and asking questions helps you and your team grow. ??
