Thank you College of Coastal Georgia for having me as a guest presenter at the Department of Natural Sciences seminar this week. I very much enjoyed sharing career path insights and experiences in natural resources consulting with so many engaged students. CCGA has an impressive and growing environmental program in coastal Georgia - an incredible location for immersive natural resources education. #naturalresources, #wetlands, #water, #environmentalscience

Great to see UGA leading the way educating future practitioners of Nature-based Solutions!
Meet the Natural Infrastructure Certificate! The brand-new program aims to equip graduate students at all levels with the skills and expertise necessary to address complex infrastructure challenges using nature-based solutions (NbS) and Engineering With Nature? (EWN) principles. The program goes beyond engineering applications, with electives coming from across campus- environmental ethics, ecology, forestry, landscape architecture, social science applications and more. The program culminates in an internship course, in which students will develop skills through project-delivery teams that conduct the planning, design, implementation, operations and maintenance of natural infrastructure projects. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other partners have expressed strong support for the NI Certificate, emphasizing their workforce development needs in nature-based solutions and resilient infrastructure. We are so excited to welcome the first cohort of Natural Infrastructure Certificate-seekers! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/emURX8Z9

There is nothing more gratifying than growing a small business while teaching and mentoring the next generation. Longleaf Consulting is thrilled to welcome its first summer intern who happens to be my highschooler. As he learns the basics of field ecology consulting, he's also being exposed to business fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget and client care; all things that will help with any profession the future may hold.
