Join our research study and find out insights about your brain aging ?? We are recruiting adults 60 yrs+ who are cognitively normal or have early stage Alzheimer's or Mild Cognitive Impairment. There is no intervention arm currently, just testing.
Director of Research & Operations @ NeuroAge Therapeutics. Developing therapies to reverse brain aging and treat age-related brain diseases
?? NeuroAge is recruiting older adults (≥60 years old) for a clinical study! Dementia is one of the biggest public health challenges of our time, and early detection is key to intervention. At NeuroAge Therapeutics, we have developed a novel multi-modal brain aging test to track cognitive sharpness and assess the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Funded by the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF), this study aims to advance biomarkers for early cognitive decline - paving the way for preventive strategies and future therapeutics. ?? Who can participate? ? Adults 60 years or older ? Willing to complete the following: - Blood draw ?? - Genetic testing ?? - Brain MRI ?? - Cognitive testing ?? ?? What participants receive: ? Free testing as part of the study ? Test results and personalized recommendations after completion ?? Interested? Take our short eligibility survey here: https://lnkd.in/gHEsFUcS If you or someone you know fits the criteria, we’d love to hear from you! #AlzheimersResearch #BrainHealth #ClinicalStudy #AgingScience #NeuroAge Christin Glorioso, MD PHD Persiana Cota, MA, NBC-HWC

NeuroAge Therapeutics was featured in an article in the New Scientist this week: Why you should slow down your brain’s ageing – and how to do it Many of us have a brain that is older than our years. But there are plenty of things you can do to counteract this, says neuroscience columnist Helen Thomson Lately, my brain has felt decidedly ancient. I’m only in my 40s, but last week I completely blanked on the date of my wedding anniversary, forgot the name of a friend’s son and couldn’t seem to concentrate on any work. So when I was asked to write a column for?New Scientist?all about the brain, one question immediately came to mind: how old is mine? These correlations add to growing evidence that we can influence the age of our brains. It’s even been suggested that?40 per cent of dementia cases could be prevented or delayed?by lifestyle choices... Finding out the age of your brain For that reason, you might want to find out your own brain age – and make some changes. One company established with this in mind is NeuroAge Therapeutics, founded by physician and neuroscientist?Christin Glorioso. NeuroAge uses MRI scans to identify structural brain changes and white matter hyperintensities – damaged areas of tissue that increase your risk of stroke and dementia – combining them with the results of blood tests, genetic tests and cognitive games. Glorioso’s interest in brain ageing was triggered by discovering she possessed a genetic predisposition for Alzheimer’s disease. Like as many as 1 in 4 people, she has an increased risk of Alzheimer’s because she possesses one copy of the APOE4 variant of the APOE gene. However, she and her colleagues’ research has shown how having?a brain age five years younger than your actual age can offset the impact of this variant. https://lnkd.in/gieuhZ5T

Thank you Longevity Global for hosting a terrific networking event in Berkeley, CA on Saturday. Two wins for me: 1. It was exciting to meet people who are researching treatments and other solutions that will help people live better. More quality in their years. 2. It was gratifying to chat with people who understand the value in what I do best: translating their scientific breakthroughs so that their chosen audience will get it, and be as excited about it as they are. Until next time! #longevity #biotech #medtech
