关于我们

Long Angle is a private, vetted community of highly successful young entrepreneurs and executives. Our members rely on Long Angle as a confidential, unbiased resource for knowledge sharing, networking, and alternative investments. Our community is primarily composed of self-made, very high-net-worth Millennials and Gen X’ers from around the world (30-49 years old) who have built portfolios worth $5-50 million. Compared to previous generations, our members prefer to retain significantly more first-person control over their financial lives, rather than relying on third-party financial advisors. Long Angle offers a curated and trusted community of peers to help them do this effectively. Beyond driving superior returns, Long Angle members want to ensure their wealth has a positive impact on their families, communities, and the environment. Discussions within the community cover the broad scope of personal finance, including philanthropy, raising children, tax optimization, insurance, travel, and investment opportunities. Long Angle was founded by serial entrepreneurs to address their personal need for a trusted community of peers. Membership is growing by more than 50% per quarter.

In our 2025 High-Net-Worth Asset Allocation Study, we found that among Long Angle members, one-third (33%) work with a wealth manager, while two-thirds (67%) self-manage their portfolios. Despite this difference, both groups maintain similar portfolio allocations across public and private equity, real estate, alternatives, bonds, and cash. Even in areas where advisors might be expected to encourage a greater allocation—such as fixed income—there’s little variation. Of course, portfolio construction is just one piece of the equation. Many investors turn to advisors for estate planning, tax strategies, behavioral coaching, and access to exclusive opportunities that might not be available to individual investors. But it’s interesting to see that, at a broad level, those who self-manage tend to follow a similar allocation to those who work with an advisor. How do you approach portfolio management? Do you prefer to self-manage, work with an advisor, or take a hybrid approach? The investment landscape is shifting. After a strong run, US tech stocks have slowed, while European equities are showing signs of life. With upcoming policy shifts and market uncertainties, investors are looking ahead: Which asset classes are set to outperform in 2025? We polled Long Angle members—here’s what stood out: – Public Markets: US equities remain a top choice (31%), but 20% see potential in non-US markets. – Private Investments: Private equity (23%) and private credit (14%) continue to attract capital. – Alternative Plays: Crypto (23%) and real estate (20%) remain key areas of interest, with some seeing real estate poised for a comeback as long yields fall. One investor noted that policy shifts, including potential crypto capital gains waivers and real estate stimulus, could drive these markets forward. Others pointed to Chinese tech stocks and commodities as contrarian plays. What’s your outlook? Where do you see the best opportunities in 2025? A year ago, inflation hovered around 3%, and many expected a gradual decline. But as we move through 2024, the outlook remains uncertain. We recently asked Long Angle members where they expect core inflation to land by December 2025. The majority—44%—believe it will stay between 3-4%, while others are split between lower and significantly higher outcomes. Some expect inflationary pressures to persist, while others point to potential economic cooling that could bring it down. There’s also the question of how policymakers will respond, especially with $10 trillion in U.S. debt maturing next year. If keeping rates high proves too costly, will inflation come down through deliberate intervention? One thing is clear: Investors are weighing multiple, sometimes conflicting forces as they position their portfolios for the future. Where do you think inflation will be at the end of 2025? One member shared a familiar story: their property insurance premium jumped 30% this year, with no claims. Another had their carrier drop them entirely due to wildfire risk, forcing them into a high-cost state plan. These shifts are happening across the board, and Long Angle members are taking note. To get a clearer picture, we ran a mini-benchmark survey to understand what high-net-worth individuals are paying for Property & Casualty insurance—and where they’re getting coverage. Here’s what we found: *Carrier Preferences While top-tier insurers like Chubb, AIG, and PURE are popular, a surprising number of members rely on mainstream providers like State Farm (21%) and USAA (12%). Others turn to niche or excess liability carriers to fill gaps. *Premium Costs Nearly two-thirds of members spend less than $10,000 annually on Property & Casualty insurance, but 18% pay $20,000 or more—suggesting significant variation based on location, asset types, and coverage needs. *Coverage Challenges Several members noted difficulty securing coverage due to high-risk locations, insurer non-renewals, or exclusions on key assets like collectibles and cyber risk. These concerns are shaping how members think about their overall insurance strategy. Long Angle is a vetted private community for high-net-worth individuals, facilitating conversations like these that help our members make informed financial decisions.
