Last night, rand* was honored to participate in the 18th Annual Lombardi Women, supporting Georgetown's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. It was an inspiring evening filled with stories from survivors and the latest advancements in breast cancer research. As longtime supporters of Lombardi Women, we were proud to host partners at this meaningful event, and we want to give a special shoutout to our very own Executive Vice President, David Childress for serving as a "Wine Dude" and winning the competition for the most tips raised in support of this important cause. #randConstruction #LombardiWomen #BreastCancerAwareness #FightForACure

This summer, we hosted our largest class yet for the Diversity in Cancer Research Undergraduate Internship Program. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society and Georgetown University, the 10-week program immerses undergraduates in cancer research, providing mentorship, life-changing career guidance, and hands-on experience in various scientific disciplines. Students connected with mentors like Dr. Martha Gay, whose passion for science inspires the future leaders of cancer research. https://lnkd.in/gq9k2Q-x

Join me…and if you can’t consider a donation for the event! WHAT: Lombardi Women’s Event for Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center on September 26th https://lnkd.in/e_i75NKW WHY: This year, 310,720 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women, and 42,250 women will die from breast cancer.?As a mother of 2 young elementary school boys navigating an executive career with travel, there are days where I just want to call my Mom for advice and support. Sadly, our family was robbed of time with her to meet my kids and be a grandmother. She was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer 14 years ago and after a 3-year battle, she was taken from us too early at 67 years old in 2012. She missed out on being a grandmother and meeting my children, retirement and travel, and seeing her family grow up. This is why I give my time to Co-Chair this important fundraising event. So others can beat the battle she lost. HOW WE CAN HELP: We are quickly approaching the 18th Annual Lombardi Women event, taking place on?September 26th at Capital One Hall. As in previous years, this year’s event will be an important opportunity to engage in conversations that bring awareness to prevention and early detection of breast cancer. Our program features a panel discussion between Dr. Claudine Isaacs, Dr. Lucy Maria De La Cruz, and inspirational survivors, which will be moderated by WUSA9’s Weeknight Anchor, Lesli Foster. This year’s event is almost sold out, but there is still time to purchase tickets!??We are happy to offer individual tickets as well as young professional tickets at a reduced price. WINE DUDES WELCOME, it’s a great way to sponsor and attend! Message me for more info, hope to see you there! Or we welcome a donation if you can’t make it! https://lnkd.in/eZYiRkKa #fundraising #cancersucks #georgetownlombardi #lombardiwomen #joinus
