?? Introducing Galileo AI, the newest member of your product team — reinventing how digital product teams create great digital experiences. In today’s digital-centric world, product teams are tasked with owning critical KPIs: conversion, adoption, retention, and more. When those KPIs don’t perform as expected, teams dig through massive amounts of data to figure out why. ?? ?? Too often, though, those teams fail to find the root cause of a conversion or adoption problem because the important issues are buried in all their data. ?? ?? That’s where Galileo comes in: ??♂? Galileo watches every user session in your app ?? Gains a human-like understanding of your app and its flows ?? Surfaces the most impactful user struggle and behavior patterns ?? Guides teams on where to invest for creating great user experiences ?? Each issue comes with session replays to see exactly what went wrong Find out why Common App (yes, the site used by millions of students to apply to colleges) uses Galileo to identify critical issues impacting students, saying: “In the past, we might hear that something was wrong with our application submission flows, but figuring out the root cause and its impact was a time-consuming process, and we couldn’t be sure that the changes we made would move the needle. LogRocket’s AI capabilities easily allow teams across Common App to proactively identify the highest-impact issues and their causes in the areas of our app we care about the most.” Read the whole blog post here: https://lnkd.in/esn2Kb5W

?? Redis is NOT just a volatile, in-memory store. ?? "The biggest misconception is that using Redis means risking all your data." Many engineers hesitate to adopt Redis because they assume that an in-memory database means inevitable data loss. But here’s the reality: 1?? Most traditional databases also rely on caching—if the plug is pulled at the wrong time, data loss can happen there too. 2?? Redis offers robust persistence mechanisms, including disk-based storage and replication, giving you explicit control over how much risk you're willing to accept. While chat interfaces have become the default for interacting with LLMs, they are not always the most efficient or effective solution. Overreliance on chat can introduce unnecessary complexity, strain resources, and limit the user experience. By adopting a hybrid approach — automating initial drafts and using chat-based refinement only when necessary — we can optimize both performance and usability. This model balances LLM automation with user-driven refinement, leading to more flexible and efficient workflows, especially in contexts where structured interactions are preferable. Check out the latest blog post from Rosario De Chiara to learn more about how rethinking LLM integration beyond chat can enable you to create more effective, user-friendly experiences.

“The cybersecurity market is shifting from traditional antivirus software to a more holistic approach against evolving threats like ransomware, phishing, and identity theft. It’s not just about theft prevention anymore but is focusing more on being a business enabler. If something goes wrong in your environment, your entire business stops. When talking about things that influence our long-term vision, the first thing to mention is that cybersecurity extends beyond the endpoint of laptops, mobile devices, etc. Many small, medium, and enterprise businesses are going from on-prem to cloud solutions. We need to protect that cloud too. It’s not just about computers these days — we’ve got to make sure our network security is rock-solid everywhere because cyberthreats can pop up on any device that’s connected to the internet. It’s a whole new ballgame out there. Second, there’s been a shift toward managed security. Especially since the pandemic, many businesses have gone remote. A lot of big companies now take a hybrid approach. Small and medium businesses don’t have dedicated security and IT professionals to manage their environments, so managed security is more of a prominent option. That’s where the market is going. Automation plays a huge role too. IT and security admins just don’t want to feel fatigued from so many alerts. AI is coming in to disrupt this. The last thing I’ll highlight is business model evolution. Right now, cybersecurity software is not just a one-time purchase — it often requires multiple vendors. People don’t want that anymore. At Malwarebytes, we’re differentiating by extending beyond our endpoint security solutions into MDR, identity protections, and other features in that area. We also want to be easy to use so that businesses of all sizes can seamlessly integrate with us.” I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Rumna Mishra of Malwarebytes about how the cybersecurity landscape is evolving — shifting from isolated point solutions to comprehensive platform solutions. She also shared her approach to developing product roadmaps that balance product efficacy, new product introductions, and features that harden an already strong platform. #ProductLeadership #Cybersecurity Link in the 1st comment ??

It's Tuesday, PMs, and that means a new episode of LaunchPod where host Jeff Wharton sits down with GumGum Director of Product, Steve Nash, to talk working with leadership, focusing on product centricity, and more. Find the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/eHCNW7B5

VP, Marketing @ LogRocket - AI-first session replay & analytics that shows you the biggest opportunities for growth and improvement

How do you disagree with your boss? Steve Nash faced this exact challenge when Playground XYZ’s growth hit a wall. Here’s how he did it and got growth back on track. ?? Steve Nash, now Director of Product at GumGum, was one of the first on the team at Playground XYZ, leading Product. The company had taken off, winning awards and scaling fast. But momentum stalled and leadership started micromanaging. Instead of resisting, Steve saw an opportunity: ? Make the company truly product-centric. ? Give teams autonomy to solve problems. ? Crystallize a clear identity to drive innovation. Here’s how that shift led to Playground’s massive transformation, and ultimately its acquisition by GumGum. ?? Check out the whole episode to find out all the details: ??? YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eHCNW7B5 ?? Spotify: https://lnkd.in/e3Hc5N49 ?? Apple: https://lnkd.in/eB_RKpXi -- ?? The CEO Was Holding On Too Tight As Playground XYZ scaled, the CEO wanted to speed things up. But his hands-on approach slowed the team down. Steve realized he had two options: ? Keep executing without questioning, or ? Convince leadership that a product-centric culture was the solution. It wasn’t an easy conversation. “You’re asking the CEO to let go of the reins a bit,” Steve said. So he built a case. He gathered insights, rallied key stakeholders, and pitched a small experiment to prove the value of autonomy. -- ?? Speeding Up Innovation with Product Thinking Once they won leadership buy-in, Playground’s team got faster and smarter: ?? PMs & engineers executed on new opportunities, instead of waiting for direction ?? Sales teams became a conduit to real customer needs, not just a request channel ? The company unlocked a game-changing way to measure ad attention by encouraging “stay-and-play” moments in their products The impact? A product culture that commanded attention in both its solutions and how they were presented. -- ?? The Power of Identity: Becoming an “Attention Company" Playground XYZ wasn’t just another ad tech startup. When the team aligned behind one identity, helping brands measure and command attention, it changed everything: ? Faster, sharper product decisions ? A sales narrative that resonated with customers ? A stronger position in the market, leading to its acquisition by GumGum When everyone in your company knows exactly what you stand for everything moves faster, from product strategy to go-to-market execution. -- Why This Matters for PMs & Product Leaders ?? Are you working on products or defining the vision that shapes them? ?? Are you stuck executing, or helping leadership think bigger? Steve’s journey shows that product thinking isn’t just for PMs, it’s how great companies scale. How has challenging leadership gone for you? “What the heck is happening during checkout?” I heard this from nearly all the PMs I talk to running Shopify stores. They know how their customers are browsing their site, but checkout is a complete black box. That’s why I’m excited to announce LogRocket’s new Shopify app! For the first time, you can finally get full session replay of your customers’ journeys, from landing page to purchase complete. Running a Shopify store? You can now see the exact friction points and issues that cause customers to drop out of the checkout process. Check out the link in comments to get started!

AI isn't taking your developer job—unless you're only doing replaceable work. ?? "AI today is like a junior developer—it can produce a lot of code, but it doesn’t always fit the standards or work long-term." As AI continues to reshape the tech industry, the key to job security isn't just writing code—it's understanding how to shape, refine, and improve it. On today’s episode of PodRocket, Roy Derks, Developer Experience at IBM, shares why foundational engineering skills are more valuable than ever: 1?? AI can generate tons of code, but without human expertise, it lacks the structure and adaptability for real-world applications. 2?? Developers who move beyond simple implementation and focus on deeper engineering skills will future-proof their careers. “UX needs to be part of the product organization. Oftentimes, you’ll find UX embedded within engineering, but I believe it should be in product. Product is about defining what it is that you’re going to build, and engineering then defines how you’re going to build it. UX figures out how it’s going to look, behave, and feel from a customer experience perspective. Then, as you build the product process through roadmapping, feature definition, user stories, etc., the UX team has to be intimately involved in all of these pieces. And if you’re blessed with enough resources to have a UX person assigned to each of your major portfolio areas, there’s an element of continuity that develops over time between the portfolio’s UX leader and product leader. They work hand-in-hand, looking out into the future about where the product is trying to go. The UX team can help with research into what the feature function should look like, as well as how the rest of the team should think about implementing it. Conversely, the product team needs to be aware of what the UX needs in terms of timing. Can the design the UX team made actually be built by engineers? How much time will they need? You are in it together to make sure that the end design is implemented and matches what you all intended.” I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Brian Fugere of CentralSquare Technologies about the importance of having marketing, product, and UX constantly aligned early for a successful launch of any product. He also shared an example of implementing and standardizing a feedback loop to improve the overall customer experience. #ProductLeadership #UX Link in the 1st comment ??
