My guy Ethan Drigotas with the power of six million emails... or maybe not so much? https://lnkd.in/eaJUZzXN
Agency leaders want to create a more reliable sales pipeline and improve external positioning. But they don’t want to sacrifice billable hours or add expensive full-time overhead. They’re still not standing out in a crowded marketplace and there always seems to be wasted time with potential customers who will never close. Logline helps agencies grow and maintain profitability by managing marketing strategy and processes without the burden of full-time overhead or utilization challenges.

One thing that stands out in working with agencies is our need to talk about ourselves. We're so focused on promoting the latest work we've done, our client list, and the award we paid to win that we forget the important truth about our business: We only exist to solve our client's problems. Our work, our clients, and our awards are cool, but if you want to generate new business you need to talk about the problems you solve. Capturing someone's attention means resisting the urge to talk about what you want. Talk about what they want. There's nothing more interesting than self-interest. And here's the kicker, all of this is infinitely more achievable when you have a defined audience and focus. Not only can you become an expert in a very clear and specific problem your clients face, your understanding of their entire ecosystem becomes more clear. Soon enough, you’re no longer a vendor offering tactical services, you're a strategic partner helping to guide their business. More thoughts on this here --> https://lnkd.in/emKGuYFm

I've always known that agencies are terrible at differentiating themselves (it's the main reason I started Logline). But, as I write in this article, seeing it in person felt different. A worthy goal for agency leaders? Make sure someone researching your firm can’t write a one sentence description that sounds like every other agency. https://lnkd.in/e_uXxr88
Incredible agency power in Northern New England - proud to be a part of this group!
What happens when you ask agency executives to get together, be candid, and discuss how we can all help each other? Turns out, something really amazing. At our last event we brought these leaders together to discuss how we all have to face the hard conversations required to run an agency business. Among many other things, we learned about how important it is to hold both ourselves and our leadership teams accountable, how critical it is to have proper process and documentation in place, and how this can help us to get ahead of having some of these hard conversations. A huge thank you goes out to our amazing panelist of speakers that we heard from, Nikki Raffenetti, Dayna Gilchrist, and Jeff McPherson, along with the best moderator around, Will Powley. Additionally, we couldn't have pulled this off without the generosity of our hosts, Tim Messina and Ian Messina, who allowed us to explore their amazing space at Studio Lab ???? Lastly and definitely not least, thank you to the wildly talented Colby Todisco for helping to capture this evening for us ?? Are you someone that might be interested in learning what's going on with The Agency Side? If so, connect with Peter DiGeronimo for more information.

Screw marketing and sales - do great work and clients will come. I can agree with the sentiment there. But it overlooks two things in the agency space. https://lnkd.in/e8UssC_F

Almost every industry props up another. As an agency leader, you may not realize that you're propping up another field. The awards industry. There are quite literally thousands of agency awards that exist simply because agencies do. Each one of them makes their money by charging hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars for the honor of recognizing you. So, how do you figure out which awards are worth it and which are worthless? https://lnkd.in/eCbzJB6n

There are a few effective and interesting ways to approach it, but for the analytically minded folks, here’s a potential equation for better agency thought leadership. Article --> https://lnkd.in/eEjyimzT #agencymarketing #thoughtleadership #agencymanagement

If we asked, which of the following would you hire for their expertise? 1. A firm that doesn’t use that expertise for themselves.? 2. A firm that does use that expertise for themselves. The answer is obvious, right? https://lnkd.in/d7guyr4G

There are two ways to think about agency marketing. One is as a strategy to offer more value to your potential customers. The other is as a tactic to try and get more eyeballs on your product or service. Many people start off chasing the former but end up settling for the latter. https://lnkd.in/eT-knM4S
