It's 2024 – The Age of Self-Driving Cars and Reusable Rocket Engines Yet, the driving force of our economy and comforts of life still relies on daily interactions like this! Let's highlight some inefficiencies from this recent interaction: Basic Information Accessibility: A trucker had to call in to get basic job details that were likely listed on a load board. This is standard practice, but why not provide that information upfront on the listing? Time Management and HOS: Truckers have something called Hours of Service (HOS), allowing up to 14 hours a day for driving and other tasks. Spending 30 minutes on the phone to find work cuts into their HOS. Over five days, this adds up significantly, reducing their productivity and driving time. Unfair Rates: The trucker was arguing about mileage before the broker hung up. Hauling 80,000 lbs (The Maximum Legal weight) for 800-900 miles to only earn $900 translates to $1.06 per mile, far below the national average of $2+ per mile. Besides dealing with rude brokers, this entire process needs improvement. These are just 3 of many reasons why we are passionate about building streamlined logistics solutions. We aim to help drivers maximize their HOS in a transparent environment where rates make sense for both parties.
