Skool just launched an affiliate/referral program a few days ago, and it’s got a pretty interesting perks — you don’t just earn an initial payout for referring someone to the Cyber Range, you keep earning every month they stay a member. ?? I’m starting mine off at 10% because: ? The Cyber Range has a?finite number of seats?(960 max, already 633 filled). ? Running it costs several thousand dollars a month, and that number fluctuates. ? ’ll be?raising the price soon. If you want to refer people, just go to the Cyber Range About page, hit "Invite," and you’ll get your own link. There are?a few conditions?(like you have to be a member to be an affiliate), but Skool explains everything in their video (https://lnkd.in/gJ7yQuXM). I might?increase the affiliate commission later, once I optimize costs. But one thing’s for sure — spots are limited and once it’s full, the price goes up. If you lock in at?$97/month now and the price jumps to?$200/month, you could be covering your membership?and?earning extra with referrals. Anyway, this is a cool thing and I didn't expect them to make the affiliates receive recurring revenue.

I get this question all the time — should you get a bachelor's degree? A second degree? A masters? And the answer is… it depends. When hiring managers look at candidates, a bachelor’s degree is helpful, but it’s not the most important factor. When it comes to getting hired, here’s how things typically rank: ??S-Tier:?Relevant experience and strong professional networks. If you’ve done the job before or have a trusted connection vouching for you, you’re already ahead. ??A-Tier:?High-end certifications (CISSP, OSCP, etc.) and impactful projects— something beyond a simple lab, like building a Cyber Range with paying customers. ??B-Tier:?Formal education, including bachelor’s degrees. It’s good to have one, but getting another won’t significantly boost your chances. A degree can be useful, but it’s not the magic key to landing a job. Beyond that, hiring managers prioritize practical skills, hands-on experience and strong recommendations over additional degrees. Instead of spending time and money on another diploma, consider gaining?real-world experience, networking and getting industry-recognized certifications?to stand out.
