As we embrace the new year, it’s important to reflect on the excitement of the holidays and all that we experienced. December was a busy month, as it is for many, but we made sure to have some (or a lot) of fun! At all of our branches, we enjoyed a holiday meal catered by one of our amazing customers, Olive Garden. We indulged in a variety of pastas, salads, breadsticks, and delicious desserts. At our Des Moines location, we were thrilled by a surprise visit from Santa during our holiday-themed ugly sweater contest! Just a few days earlier, our Accounting team organized a fun cookie exchange to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth in preparation for the holidays. To wrap up the festive season, our FresHR committee worked with the West Des Moines Human Services to adopt a local family of five. We created paper ornaments, each listing a gift request, and hung them on our entryway tree. Employees who wanted to participate chose an ornament and fulfilled the gift request—ranging from cash gifts to toys, clothing, and other essentials. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing team, we were able to donate a variety of gifts to support this family in need.
