After many years of work, the National Medal of Honor Museum, in Arlington, Texas, will open in 12 days. Last week, Loews Corporation, SIM NY Metro, and NPower teamed up to host the second career readiness workshop for our clients at the Jamaica Women Employment Shelter! From resume edits to LinkedIn tips and mock interviews, volunteers shared practical insights to help our clients with their job search. ???? “The most important thing I learned today was how to have a professional job interview,” shared Maureen, one of the workshop participants. “It’s about your body language, your clothing, your do's and don'ts. It was very good. I learned a lot.” Maureen, who hopes to land a job in healthcare, left feeling more confident and prepared—and she’s not alone! This workshop empowered our clients with the confidence and tools they need to take the next step in their employment journey.
