"Leaders say since 1994, Georgia’s economy has gained billions of dollars due to the industry… generating thousands of jobs. 'This allows us to show not only do we have that business-friendly environment, but we also have the quality of life that a lot of business industries are looking for,' Jana Dyke, GcED, MEDP, President and CEO of the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission, said. Exciting News! The Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority has been officially recognized as a recipient of the OneGeorgia Equity Award! We are thrilled to announce that $500,000 in funding has been approved to support sewer improvements at Citizens Business Park, helping to drive growth and opportunity in our community. A huge thank you to Representative Chas Cannon and Senator Sam Watson for accepting our "Big Check" at the Capitol on behalf of the Development Authority. Moultrie-Colquitt was also highlighted in OneGeorgia's 25th Anniversary annual report. Thank you, OneGeorgia!

The program was established by Georgia’s 80th governor, Roy Barnes, and has been administratively housed at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs since 2012... Through land acquisition, infrastructure development, business relocation assistance, and entrepreneur support, the OneGeorgia Authority provides grants and loans to qualified applicants including local governments and authorities and joint development authorities. The program serves as a catalyst to help Georgia’s rural communities maintain quality of life advantages while creating sustainable, diversified economies."

"The program, funded partly through the Georgia State Office of Rural Health, focuses on getting health professionals through the first hour after someone comes to the emergency room with a serious physical trauma... Emergency room providers located a considerable distance from a fully equipped trauma center will receive advanced training from Georgia Trauma Foundation staff, learning how to best assess and stabilize patients in their care."
