Excited to announce the 46 newsrooms selected to part of three state cohorts of the 2025 Local Media Association Lab for Journalism Funding. Thanks to support from Google News Initiative these newsrooms in California, Illinois and New Mexico will get training and coaching in a peer-learning cohort over the next six months, to learn and apply fundraising strategies to sustain essential local journalism. Excited to do this important work with our passionate LMA team including Liz White Notarangelo and Nina Joss; and an incredible group of mission-driven, expert coaches including Joaquin Alvarado, Joanne Heyman, Jennifer Preston, Judi Terzotis, Samantha Johnston, SHRM-SCP, MBA, Mackenzie Warren, Sam Moody and Rashad Mahmood.
