The art collection Omni San Diego Hotel was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich heritage of the Padres. Thanks to Jeffrey Beers International Each detail was thoughtfully curated to evoke the spirit of the game, blending nostalgia with contemporary design. From historical photography in the corridors to baseball diamond inspired artworks in the suites - the art collection was a joy to envision, collaborate on, and bring to life. As an art consultant, it always starts with a story - one that the art collection further defines and amplifies... Amira Baba from Summa International approached us with an opportunity to be a part of The Jay, Autograph Collection, a property just across the Bay Bridge from our studio - a Marriott converting from a Le Meridien into an Autograph Collection. She connected us with the amazing Sergio Mondragon from AvroKO, who told us a story about the brutalist architecture by John Portman and the late San Francisco-based artist Ruth Asawa. The passionate and personally invested owner Dane Patunoff, gave context and elaborated on their aspiration for a uniquely local hotel experience. Thank you for the opportunity for Local Language to help tell The Jay’s story! The other night's tour hosted by NEWH, Inc, and led by Sergio Mondragon and Todd Statz, was an inspirational and insightful experience for everyone in attendance. It was great to reconnect with our local hospitality community including Kiko Macharg Singh, Sara Kenworthy EDG Interior Architecture + Design, Greg Bradshaw AvroKO, Christina Pun BAMO, Erin Kennedy, Barb Fritz and so many others. Laura S., Paige Bolting, Stephanie Bunnell and Jordan Bunnell were (thrilled/thankful) to receive an in depth look into how it all came together!
