El Camino Storage in Sacramento, CA is finally full steam ahead. 6 weeks into this project did not disappoint, with a series of obstacles right from the start. 1. Loss of schedule due to weather. 2. 3500 yards of export were not accounted for in original survey. 3. Drainage Structure dead center of a proposed City Electrical Run. LND prides ourselves in quick actionable solutions that keep the project moving and budget steady. More importanly when our client is a Developer/GC and the project is self funded. I.E. - There is no one to bill for changes. What did we do? 1. Held a planning meeting with 3 trades to strategize the best way to stack activities and executed that plan. - We are now still on schedule 2. Worked with the engineers and geotech to utilize 700 of those yards in the structure pad by cement lime treating the soil, eliminating the need for expansive soil import. 3. Coordinated the last yardage haul off with the help of our utility contractor operator, 2 hauling companies we found to perform within a 2 day notice, and the use of dirt match app. (We were able to offload locally for free to 5 different sites) - We originally were quoted by the CY which would have cost us a whopping 105k. By self managing- we saved the project 70k. 4. Addressed the electrical issue upfront and meet with all parties in the field to form a solution before work was complete while also getting City Approval. We moved the structure up 4 feet and ran the conduit behind. - No cost change conflict resolution. We take pride in our work and serving our clients from any location.
