Located in Pontiac, Illinois is our 6.5 megawatt dc, 5.0 megawatt ac "Walldog" solar array. Built utilizing IBEW Local 601 labor, this solar farm generates enough clean, renewable energy to power just over 500 homes per month, based on local energy consumption data. The long-term owner/operator of this array opted to use both a pollinator friendly habitat designation and agrivoltaics. This means that a special seeding mix was used to attract butterflies in the summer, and that local sheep do all the lawn trimming within the fenced area!
