Mental health isn’t a luxury. It’s the foundation for everything—how we show up at work, connect with others, and navigate life’s challenges. But too often, care is inaccessible, outdated, or simply not designed for the way we live today. That’s why Wave exists. We believe everyone deserves flexible, evidence-based support that fits into real life—not just a 50-minute session once a week. We’re here to change how the world thinks about mental health—one person, one moment, one well-timed nudge at a time. #MentalHealthMatters #WaveLife #PurposeDriven

Mental health is also about the everyday moments—the quiet stress before a deadline, the loneliness after a tough day, the self-doubt that creeps in when things don’t go as planned. And yet, the current mental health system wasn’t built for that. That’s why we created Wave. Because care shouldn’t start when things fall apart—it should be there all along. ?? Personalized care plans that adapt in real-time ?? Expert coaches and therapists when you need them ?? 24/7 digital support for the moments between sessions Mental health care should feel like a soft place to land, not a last resort. #MentalHealthMatters #WaveLife #PurposeDriven #DigitalHealth

We don't know many people who are "only stressed." For most of us, comorbidities—checking more than one diagnostic box—are the name of the game. Wave’s transdiagnostic model focuses on: ?? Emotional awareness ?? Values-based action ?? Resilience & flexibility ?? Social connection Our approach is not to fit people into categories. Instead, we give them the tools to navigate life, not just a diagnosis. And that’s why it works. #BeyondDiagnosis #WholePersonCare #DownWithTheDSM ??

Founder, CEO Wave / Clinical Psychologist ??

I’ve seen a lot of predictions for Mental Health Care delivery in 2025. I have no confidence in my predictive ability (I am still shocked on a daily basis), so I will share my wishlist instead. Yes, the landscape of mental health care is evolving rapidly, and thank goodness.?Digital tools continue to expand, awareness is at an all-time high, and the conversation is shifting from crisis response to prevention and demonstrable outcomes. And yes, AI (to be addressed in a coming post). Here’s where I wish the field to go: ?? Technology with Accountability: AI, virtual therapy, and digital mental health tools continue to gain traction, and the good ones get paid for. In tandem with expansion, let's do some, ethical oversight, and a commitment to rigorous DEMONSTRABLE efficacy. Technology should be integrated into care models to help them work better and more efficiently. ?? A Shift Toward Prevention: Let’s move beyond reactive care models that focus solely on acute phase care toward prevention early intervention and proactive support. How about widespread access to alternative human delivery like coaching and peer support (not just therapy), scalable early screening tools, and interventions designed to prevent, treat, and maintain?? ?? Affordability & Accessibility as the Standard: High-quality mental health care can’t remain a privilege. We’ll want to see continued expansion in insurance coverage, employer-sponsored benefits, and community-based solutions that make high-quality care accessible to more people. ?? Workplace Mental Health as a Business Imperative: Organizations are recognizing that mental well-being isn’t just an HR issue—it’s a driver of performance, retention, and overall workplace health. Forward-thinking companies will embed mental health into their cultures, offering meaningful benefits that go beyond surface-level wellness perks. ??Transparency from providers. I want to see companies putting their money where their mouth to demonstrate outcomes and engagement. Measure your outcomes, and share the data. Let’s pay for what works. ?? Holistic, Person-Centered Care: The most effective mental health care acknowledges the whole person. We need more integration across primary care, therapy, coaching, lifestyle interventions (like sleep, movement, and nutrition), and peer support models that create sustainable change. We need to understand and apply social determinants of health, transdiagnostic mechanisms, and use data to go beyond DSM criteria to ensure that people get the care they need. At Wave , we’re committed to building a future where mental health care is proactive, evidence-based, accessible, and aligned with the financial incentives of payers. The challenge ahead isn’t just about innovation—it’s about making sure these advances help get the highest-quality solutions paid for so they can truly serve people who need them most.
