On February 28th your Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters worked collaboratively with Roche Molecular in the City of Pleasanton to enhance our skills in response to a chemical release.??As part of the specially trained Hazardous Materials Response Team, firefighters mitigated a simulated anhydrous ammonia leak.?We are proud of the relationships we have built so we are better prepared to serve our community. The LPFD Hazmat Team is staffed out of Firehouse 2 on Stoneridge Mall Road in West Pleasanton.??Some of their capabilities include identifying various toxic industrial chemicals, nerve and blister agents, radiological isotopes, and fuel spill mitigation. ?? LPFD Annual Station Inspections ?? This past Friday, Station 1 kicked off our annual inspections—a long-standing tradition that keeps our stations, gear, and crews in top shape. But it’s more than just checklists! After the inspection, the crew sat down for a roundtable with members from the Command Team, creating a chance for open conversations about department priorities and crew feedback. These face-to-face discussions help keep us all connected and focused on serving our community. Stay tuned for more highlights from this year’s inspections! #LPFD #lpfdcommunityheroes City of Livermore City of Pleasanton

?? Behind-the-Scenes Heroes: Fire Inspectors Keeping Our Community Safe ?? This morning at a new construction site, one of our fire inspectors was conducting a fire sprinkler system inspection when Engine 90 arrived—an opportunity to bridge fire prevention and suppression efforts in real time. As firefighters began familiarizing themselves with the building, our inspector provided critical insights on fire protection systems, access points, and suppression strategies. Engine 90 even laid out hose from the street to the third floor, simulating what would be needed in the event of a fire. Fire inspectors play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring our buildings meet safety standards before emergencies happen. Their work not only protects our community but also helps first responders operate more effectively when seconds count. Shoutout to our fire inspectors for their dedication to safety and prevention! #LPFD #LPFDCommunityHeroes#FireSafety #PreventionMatters #CommunityProtection
