At LiveOnNY, we witness every day how social workers transform lives by navigating through complex systems to bring hope and support where it's most needed. Our gratitude for these heroes knows no bounds, and while we celebrate them daily, #SocialWorkMonth gives us the perfect occasion to spotlight their profound commitment. This March, we're especially thankful for our organ donation and transplantation social workers—true lifelines for donor families, living donors, recipients, and their families. Your dedication, expertise, and heartfelt care inspire us all. Here's to you, the unsung heroes making a world of difference. #LiveOnNY #SocialWorkMonth

LiveOnNY partnered with United Sikhs, the Stony Brook Sikh Student Association, and Korean Community Services of NY to host a health screening at the Guru Gobind Singh Sikh Center. This event provided a wonderful opportunity to engage with the Sikh sangat (congregation) about the importance of organ and tissue donation. We were excited to introduce our new brochures from a Sikh perspective, which received encouraging feedback. We sincerely thank and acknowledge Mr. Inderjeet Singh from United Sikhs for his strong advocacy. His efforts encourage others to recognize the life-saving impact of becoming donors. We also appreciate the continuous support and selfless dedication of Amarjit Singh Brar, the Head Priest of the Gurudwara (Sikh temple). Together, we can make a significant impact in raising awareness within the community. Sarbat da Bhalla! This profound concept, often recited in Sikh prayers, embodies the spirit of selfless service and the pursuit for universal well-being. Speak with your loved ones today and share the power to save lives through organ and tissue donation! #Sikhi #ChardiKala #SouthAsianCommunity #Unity #LiveOnNY #OrganDonorHeroes #SavesLives #RegisterToday #FosteringConnections
