Three cheers for our fearless Director of Dev Rel, Travis Brown on achieving a major milestone in his incredible parallel work at the Video Game History Foundation (VGHF).? Travis and team just launched a new digital library with over 1,500 gaming magazines and 30,000 historical documents freely accessible to all. Travis spent months developing specialized text recognition tools that make these historical materials searchable and accessible. Along with the amazing VGHF team - Frank Cifaldi, Phil Salvador, Robin Kunimune, Rich Whitehouse, and Amanda Cifaldi - this work is transforming how research and understand video game history. It's no coincidence that Travis brings this same dedication to preservation and community building to his work at LIVE AWARE. His deep understanding of both gaming history and developer needs helps us build better tools for today's game creators while honoring the industry's rich heritage. When your playtesters sit in a cave just to watch the rain fall...you know you're onto something special. That's exactly the kind of magic the team at Gardens Interactive is building - a shapeshifting fantasy world where strangers become companions and every session tells a new story. They raised $31.3M to bring this vision to life, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome them to the LIVE AWARE community. Led by brothers Chris Bell and Stephen Bell, Gardens is crafting the kind of multiplayer experience that makes you believe in the power of shared wonder again. Their prototype at GDC was so compelling that Lightspeed's Moritz Baier-Lentz called it "the best Series A prototype I've ever seen." We're honored to support Gardens as they work to capture and understand these magical player moments. When you're creating experiences that blend cooperation and competition, every piece of feedback is precious. Here's to the Gardens crew and all the rain-watchers, monster-slayers, and the accidental friends and rivals they're building for. The future of social gaming looks a lot more magical. ?? #GameDev #Multiplayer #IndieGames #PlayerFeedback #GDC

Today we're celebrating an unsung hero of Live Aware - our Co-Founder and Head of Product, Nathan Wheeler. While Nathan may be newer to the games industry professionally, his lifelong passion for gaming combined with his unique background in education brings an invaluable perspective to our mission. He's the kind of leader who doesn't seek the spotlight - instead, you can find him behind-the-scenes synthesizing customer feedback, analyzing competitive landscapes, designing bleeding edge features, optimizing our own development capacity and plotting the future of the platform. In the early days of Live Aware, when we were just beginning to reimagine how developers could better understand and take action on player feedback, Nathan's ability to listen, learn, and solve really complex problems helped transform our vision into reality. His calm, steady approach to breaking down challenges has become part of our company's DNA. Behind the scenes, Nathan's methodical work has been instrumental in shaping not just our product, but our entire approach. He embodies our belief that the best solutions come from truly understanding the needs of developers and players. Thank you, Nathan, for being the quiet force behind so much of what makes Live Aware special. Your dedication to empowering developers and your unwavering commitment to building bridges between creators and their communities inspires us every day. #gamedev #productleadership #community

It's been an incredible month since announcing the recent closing of Live Aware’s seed round - a few of those headlines captured in this graphic.? We’ve been on the road non-stop since -- meeting amazing devs across Los Angeles, San Francisco, Montreal, Seoul, Busan and more. The responses are validating what we’ve believed for some time - teams yearn for a better way to develop with a closer connection to the views and feedback of their unique audience. Some highlights of the current challenges we’re hearing from these conversations: ?? Studios of all sizes struggle with the "feedback tsunami" - managing input from playtesters, QA, community, and partners is hard, especially at scale ?? Teams waste countless hours manually recording, organizing, and analyzing player experiences. Data is disorganized and hard to analyze. ?? There's huge appetite for AI-assistive tooling to help empower teams to focus their energy where it counts - making great games. We’re emboldened in our mission by feedback like this from Chris Lynch, Principal Game Designer at The Believer Company: "We love Live Aware so much. It's only been 15 mins since the playtest ended and we already have all of these notes auto-generated … and now we can go back and watch specific moments to understand why things are happening the way they are." We're more energized than ever to help developers build better games, faster through seamless community collaboration. Thank you to all the teams who've shared their challenges and excitement about what we're building.
